Not really. See that shit far too often, whether it's with preachers/priests, police,military,lawyers/judges, entertainers, athletes or politicians. People get caught up seeing that status rather than seeing just people like themselves.

Nothing wrong with giving people in positions of authority their respect as long as they are doing what they SHOULD BE DOING, especially if they are suppose to be servicing or protecting the public in some manner. When their asses get out of pocket however, give them the same lack of respect that their questionable actions dictate they get.

 

It's hard to differentiate between good cops and bad cops though, which sucks, so lots of people just throw a blanket level of respect towards them

There's nothing more noble than risking your life to protect others

The corruption needs to stop tho and a unified front with good cops could solve that

Sometimes you have to look at things and ask is it even worth living if how you're living is fucked up & will continue to be fucked up if you keep quite or don't put up resistance.
