No big surprise. A lot of inmates will marry any woman when they get out of prison. This is because they are lonely and don't care about looks, weight, age or race. They just want someone to communicate with. It is a win-win for both people. It is possible because inmates(male and female) advertise in personal columns. The question that comes about is, can a person actually have a trusting relationship with an inmate? I guess it is depending on the person. Some have married in prison/jail and do have conjugal visits.

Everybody needs somebody, but I don't understand how a female CO can see the possibility of romantically and emotionally hooking up with a convict, when they met in prison. They've been a couple for 9 years so good for them. I know she saved his life. Maybe he improved the quality of hers too.

The crazy part to me isn't how they met...it's the fact that they have like a one sided open marriage. She arranged for him to sleep with her best friend. She wants him to "experience everything". She said "you don't get jealous if you're comfortable with yourself". Fuck that lol. I'm perfectly comfortable with myself but if I knew my husband was fucking another woman, heads would roll. Literally. I don't play that game! Idc how they met. Certainly not the first couple to meet and hook up in prison. If it works for them (and they're now ten years in), good for them. Not my marriage, not my problem
