And I just read an article about how it's coming out now that the security breach at the White House was major. They're saying the guy got further into the WH than what was originally reported. Heads need to roll at the Secret Service. From the top, down. That should NEVER have happened.
Nearly every Black person I know has said the same thing because that's what it looks like; the Secret Service isn't really that motivated to protect Obama and his family. Why is that??:smt076:smt018 You can be promoted to executive status or even elected POTUS, but if the people who work for you don't respect your title and authority you are powerless. I expected this kind of B.S. from the good ol' boys club in Congress, but I never expected the Secret Service would be this slack because the POTUS doesn't 'look' like a POTUS to them. IMO this shit happens on a deeply subconscious level and the officers assigned to WH detail probably aren't even aware of what they're really thinking and how it's affecting their duties in the WH. Obama and his family literally could have been killed in the two security breaches reported today if the perpetrators had been more professional. Doors unlocked. Alarm systems turned off. Agents not reacting when unknown persons are running by them in the WH. WTF!!??
When President Obama leaves the WH, he will have a Secret Service detail with him 24/7, 365 for life. Every president gets that. This president has been clowned ever since he was elected. But, this president rolled with it even though he didn't have to. I remember a WH breach back in the 70's when Jimmy Carter was president. A guy, wearing a karate gi climbed the fence and jumped onto the property. He encountered WH security and Secret Service. The intruder non-verbally indicated that he was a karate expert and tried to perform a spinning kick on one of the security guards, but he missed him only to get tackled by an Agent. The intruder was apprehended and arrested. When Obama was running for president, he had security teams all over him. They called him Renegade in their radio communications since Obama wanted to meet the people without the security present with him. After this, I am sure that the Secret Service will be on their guard.
man oh man. The president was riding in the elevator with an armed felon at the cdc.:smt018 They already screwed up and it isn't even a month yet.
I don't know what the requirements are for SS agents, but I would fire all of them at put together my own team of ex marine snipers and navy seals.
Oddly enough secret service agents are already considered to be the best of the best in their profession Attention to detail and meticulous planning are cornerstones of their operation... ..which is why many are speculating that these lapses were intentional
You ever heard any of those ex-special forces guys talk politics? Generally, they're incredibly hostile to Obama. If these current lapses in security are intentional, then you'd probably get the same result with Seals and Rangers.
Interestingly enough there have been incidents of fragging in the military, where someone intentionally killed or tried to kill a superior  these guys are definitely not infallible
Breaking news http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/secret-service-director-julia-pierson-resigning/story?id=25889952 Well this is a start....... The president's security isn't a joke, regardless of whether or not you like him or his color
They seem to put too much emphasis on formal education with a little on police work. I rather have a team with a solid military background as the only requirement, some technical training or education would be a plus.
That's possible. You would have to screen them very carefully, but I think military guys have a certain comradery that could be very useful as well as skill. They are more likely to be embarrassed by failure.
Right, cause people in the military or in possession of a military background can do no wrong I'd list some of the horseshit that happens but you know how to use google
Lol. Did I say that? Really? Lmao. Something has to be done and that's how I would go about it. What would you do? Go recruiting at Harvard?
You can make a navy seal out of a teenager with no college education You can have a company commander in a ranger battalion with a degree from Podunk state university Point is you can become part of an elite group (and lead) without a degree from some fancy school Granted sometimes a degree is required; where you went to school doesn't always mean you will be great in a profession
