Actually there is someone that I met on a Catholic dating site. Her name is Clare, but she lives in Minnesota, so I can't see her in person. So at least I am trying to get somewhere with a relationship that's actually stable and mutually respectful.

Yes, and to Ra: This is because it is TOO EASY for ANYONE to get employed as a police officer in the US. If they increased the standards for hiring officers across the whole nation and if we had a citizenry with a better overall quality, we would not lead the ENTIRE WORLD with our incarceration rates in comparison to other industrialized countries (which aren't that far off from ours).

I understand that about the women. Personally, I'm in no rush. My primary focuses right now are on employment, sports, navigating in the workplace and maintaining a good camaraderie with my future co-workers and CEO. Certainly when the situation here is better would be a good time to think about dating and relationships. I have also learned on this site that dating women you meet in the workplace is mostly not a good idea.
