    Who are your favorite athletes?

    Magic Johnson

My favorite basketball player of all-time and an important figure in the history of Los Angeles for his non-sports endeavors as well.

    Marvelous Marvin Hagler

I watched the Hagler/Hearns fight as a kid and to this day it remains the best sporting event that I've ever seen. While everyone else was a Sugar Ray Leonard fan, I loved Hagler.

    Kobe Bryant

An aggravating genius on the court and the most polarizing athlete this side of Barry Bonds.

    Barry Sanders

I've never seen anyone run a football like that. Many people would say Walter Payton was better, and no disrespect to "Sweetness" but Barry did it without the amazing O-line that Chicago had in the 80s.

Honorable Mentions: Tim Duncan (greatest power forward ever), Orel Hersheiser, Lennox Lewis . . .

Jack Johnson,a brother who won the heavyweight championship in spite of great odds plus going with WW in a climate where Black men are lynched for just looking at one.

Muhammad Ali (I don't have to explain this, we all know his resume)

Patrick Ewing (I'm a Knicks fan)

Kobe Bryant (I always loved the way he played ball and growing up I wanted to play like him)

    Deion Sanders (Primetime baby!)

Michael Jordan (the name speaks for itself)

Jack Johnson (I love the fact that this brother was dominating those racist WM in the ring and dating WW in the early 1900s)

    Shaquille O'Neal (Brick City!)

I hated the way his last fight ended, a gruesome injury like that is not the way to end your legacy. He was very unfortunate.
