I didnt buy that house because the heating system uses oil.
Oil is VERY expensive in Germany. I could not afford it even with two tenants.
The house was not up to specs either. Too much money would be needed to fix it up.
Thats why he was selling it for only $60K. He dropped the price from $100K.

Dedicated to my army buddies. I get out in a week and I'm gonna miss those muthafuckas. Had some of the most fun in my life with them. Lots of good memories. This is for my Hawaii crew.

 

Heading to HI next month or early Sept. Not chasing skirts but looking for a lot of beautiful scenery. Recommendations?

What's next for you?

 

There's some cool hikes around the island like koko head and diamond head. You can see entire sides of the island when you tech the top. North shore is a pretty cool spot. Waikiki beach is always packed so I'd avoid it. I'll ask my friend about some of the other beaches since he's more of a beach person than I am. Ala Moana beach park is a chill place. Waters usually aren't rough like north shore. My friends and I learned to spear fish of that interests you. Plus, it's right across the street from the mall if you feel like going there. A lot of the nature stuff you might have to drive a little ways depending on where you are. Unfortunately, I spent more time drinking in Waikiki than seeing nature, but there are some beautiful sights when you get away from the city. With the exception of Waikiki, and a few other places, much of Oahu looks rundown and the roads are terrible. I feel like I'm driving in LA with the shit roads they have here. You will see plenty of nice scenery though if you make a loop around the outer parts of the island though, especially the northern side.

As far as after the army, I'm moving to San Diego and going back to school. Got money saved and my gi bill benefits, so I'm set. Staying in the reserve though so I can still have medical benefits.

 

Thanks for the advice and I love the plans. A lot of great opportunities in SD.

A friend of mine got out of the Marines, did a BA in physics, then took a course in wind turbine repair. He now repairs them around the country. I'm not saying that's necessarily for you, but a lot of employers look at that combo of education and military as ideal. It's good to see young brothers who are about shit rather than talking shit. Best.
