Benny Hill. He was the original bad boy(or The Lad as he is called in the U.K.) No one, after could get away with the antics on the small screen like he did. He really made me laugh and I discovered him at 13. I liked the connection that he had with the cast of his show, especially with Henry McGee( he often played a straight-laced interviewer who interviews Benny's many characterizations), Jack Wright(the little old bald bespectacled man Benny slaps on the top of the head in some silent sketches), Louise English(one of Hill's Angels who sang and danced), and many others. It was a damned shame when Thames Television fired him later. He died alone in his apartment, watching tapes of his show. Henry McGee discovered Hill's body. I could never get bored watching Benny Hill.:smt043
Benny Hill was awesome. His pervy innuendos and knack for parody and slapstick make him one of my favorites.
Filming a program live is a challenge and errors do come up on screen. Benny highlighted these problems beautifully...and hilariously.

Don't have any single snippets of the scenes I wanted to post, so posting the whole episode. The 5:00 thru 8:00 minute mark is what was looking for plus the 12:00 minute mark on through the end.
A line that gave me a great laugh on the George Lopez Show from Benny (George's mom) in response to her coworker's comment about her ex who'd walked out on her when George was a baby and had just left a message for her at work after all those years: Gina: Hey, your baby's daddy finally got that carton of cigarettes and he's on his way back. Benny: Screw you and the homeless people sleeping under your breasts!!
