I see a very limited premise...shes a loose cannon cop who has a penchant for wrecking cars in hot pursuits but that doesn't seem like a good enough hook for a series. It would be different if the black guy was some kind of under cover interpol type searching for a killer or international crime figure who has links to her fathers murder..sort a like a french connection deal. But they went with the "she needs a cab driver to solve crimes" deal so what do I know:smt102
Actor Gary Cole did a show once about an ex-cop turned radio talk show host. Every now and then he would get a call where a caller could be a victim or a criminal. So, he kept these people on the line until the police arrived to help or apprehend a person. I forgot the title. Night Calls? I'll have to look it up.
