Was going to mention a similar thing, that no one is as good or as bad as they think they are.

Plus, you really can't charge a sense of self to a credit card. No amount of money, clothes, cars, et al. can substitute it.

In fact, and this is related to a lack of self-esteem, psychologists also identify excessive bragging as a lack of self esteem. The telling quote "Show me what you brag about and I will show you what you lack" , is true.

A happy medium of humbleness with RESPECTFUL homage to your positive qualities is ideal, IMO. Then you wil/can attract the QUALITY PEOPLE you seek and who will REMAIN LONG-TERM in your life.

If this was 4 years or more ago I would of agree with you... These days the forums is full of 6 figure making, 6 series driving, 6 IT certification holding, international traveling playa's.

 

Yeah cause Cali has the happiness market cornered. We're all human beings geography don't matter.

 

You had to know the usual suspects would use this as I'm better than you why can't you be dope as me thread. Now that to me is the biggest manifestation of low self esteem. Can't go a single day without telling the world how great you are.

 

He does have a point. Positive energy is contagious and some cites/locales have a lot more than others. Cali people are generally cool as shit and the women are lovely; a big part of their charm comes from happiness.

 

Cali has no water and brimming with homelessness and desperate illegal immigrants and insane gang violence. So all the charm you talk about refers to a really small demographic.
