I will give her one thing at least she acknowledges this Website Bustle also said Azalea had her position of 'white privilege' to thank in part for her success. One thing I've always liked about Eminem is his ability to recognize that as well which is really sad overall. No matter how incredible we are with something artistically just being white puts you on even keel.
Wait...What? You mean Donny didn't do due diligence in regards to what music "we people" listen to by actually searching for the music threads we have here before making assumptions? I'm shocked I tell you... shocked......:smt043:smt043:smt043
How about something post 2010? I've heard all the stuff before this. I actually listened to rap until the year 2010, shit been comical since then. Give me somethin' that will reel me back in.
IggyA,is just rapping the White interpetation of rap not from the hood. Plus, since the industry is run by Whites she got a leg up. I doubt she even hanged or associate with a brother like some Aussie women who loves a brother without a stereotypic reason.
Although I will say this, Eminem, unlike many "Great White Hopes", is actually an incredible lyricist and ranks with the best in the genre. My beef with him is that his pop output is usually mediocre at best, while some of his jewels can be found on random mixtapes. Remember his Rawkus days with Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, et al?
There's nothing impressive about her...she's not running anything except her annoying mouth. She does fit in well with the so-called hip hop "artists" of today though, which isn't anything to be proud of.
This. She may fit in with these jokers today, but she wouldn't have lasted a year in the Golden Era. I don't even think she can handle Lady Sovereign. Could you imagine her up against Latifah, Monie Love, Lyte or Roxanne Shante in their prime?
That was not the Golden day old head lol. I'll take mid 90s rap to early 2000s over that 80s stuff Word to your mother peace lol
You don't even have to go that far back. Staying with just female rappers out today Snow Tha Product kills her.
Hey Ra, look at TDK trying to crap on a defenseless old guy, lol. And the golden era was 1988-1994 (or 1996, depending on who you talk to). You young'uns are always trying to latch on to our history. Lol
lmao we had better battle raps, better songs, and better beats and we introduced the movie/music video to the game. We win sorry lol
I'll take that under advisement. Not! Find one track that is doper than the Scenario remix...just one!
Golden Era of hip-hop: 1986-1993. The overwhelming majority of landmark albums in rap music were released in that era. Run DMC - Raising Hell Eric B. and Rakim - Paid in Full, Follow the Leader NWA - Straight Outta Compton Dr. Dre - The Chronic Ice Cube - Amerikkka'a Most Wanted, Death Certificate Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded EPMD - Strictly Business Nothing before or since has matched that quality of output.
Shiiit It ain't hard to tell- Nas Can't Knock the Hustle- Jay Z Shook Ones - Mobb Deep Protect Your Neck- Wu Tang Clan The Warning - Biggie Smalls C.R.E.A.M - Wu Tang Clan Ice Cream- Raekwon Bring the Pain - Method Man (about to download this for chest day tomorrow lol) If I Ruled the World - Nas Wild Out- The Lox Da Mystery of Chessboxin- Wu Tang Clan We Gonna Make It- Jadakiss Dr. Dre- Anything off the Chronic I could go on lol
You my friend are high if you believe that. These same dudes you mentioned would put any of the guys that came after them in the top ten of all time
