I don't know when the last time you've dated was but a "mouth piece" is far from cutting it these days. Your looks and your money matter A LOT no use in pretending it doesn't. Women will kick that own mothers out the way for a Tyson Beckford with a medical degree instead of a dude who looks like Rerun with an amazing "mouthpiece"

I understand why he feels frustrated, but it's so narcissistic to assume that he should be paid attention to at all. We are not 'entitled' to a woman's affections, no matter how much we might want them. And yes, women will and are free to be, attracted to whoever floats their boat, whether we like it or not. Douchebag or not. We humans are hardwired for some of this foolishness because we're just less hairy apes, unfortunately. We need to both better identify and treat mental disorders and sensitize our culture to how we treat each other.

We will never ever tell women that they are being narcissistic when they are upset about not finding love or if they find men who have different expectations from a situation than they do. We support their feelings and emotions and the right to feel hurt so don't act is if men who are hurt by rejection are somehow narcissistic and entitled that is unfair.
We don't teach young men how to deal with their emotions we instead mock them snd tell them to bury because that's what "real" men do then we're someone surprised when it morphs them to uncaring cold assholes.

I say it to women all the time. I point out when they're being self-absorbed and needy and manipulative and I do not buy into the "feminine wiles" or use of guile that women are often encouraged to use. I also always work with my son on expressing his feelings, precisely to avoid all that maladjusted rage that we are all susceptible to. And as for the position of privilege TDK, I routinely get left by my girlfriends for more exciting dudes. It happens all the time. In fact, the last woman I was dating in Miami from Hungary left me for a personal trainer. LOL

Dude I'm gonna tell you something they all probably hate to hear, you can never punch above your weight class because by default of being a man in this country you bring far more to the table. She only has to be attractive, so by that alone you bring far more to the table.

 

That is by no means the rule. Besides, I'm in law school, so it's not like I'm partner making $250K. You would be surprised how being cool or good-looking can trump all that other stuff, which is largely an abstraction.

 

I think that's why things didn't work with my last gf. She's just way cooler and likable than I am. It was a little intimidating, probably the main reason I ended it. I need a huge awkward nerd like myself to be happy lol.

Yeah, but everyone can't get those slots. I have a friend who's studying for the NY bar and graduated from Drake with her J.D. and she was babysitting to make ends meet until finally getting a spot at a major non-profit out there.
