Mother, father and three children are so photogenic they've appeared in scores of magazines, poster campaigns and TV adverts together. Read more here.
Exactly, this doesn't count. Neither does the Petra Nemcova relationship. But if I said this, I would catch hell.
I wonder what Paula Patton's son will identify as. Honestly between Paula's Pro-blackness and Robin trying to act like a black man at times, he may very well identify as black.
Robin just seems to just fit in that environment for some reason. I really don't think it's an act. I just seem to fit in non traditional black atmospheres so I get it. Their kid won't have a choice, the world will see him as white and that's what he'll be.
This may possibly be a light skin dark skin thing because when I hear that family is the "ideal" interracial family I see very little brown and A LOT more white reflecting zero African traits. Feel me?
How? Those children are his seed, his DNA, HE.MADE.THEM. IDK how you are going to react if you have a bi-racial child and it doesn't look EXACTLY like you, lol. *praying for you* It's not the ideal 'IR family' - READ THE ARTICLE- it's the ideal BRITISH family.. which is huge in itself in terms or acceptance and recognition.
Its the same exact thing when mothers on here complain about there kids being considered just black. I get it, you can feel a little left out of equation. If you're not the mother of my kids you don't have worry about my kids they'll be just fine.
It's time for us..BM to determine who we accept....certainly not WM...or BW for that matter. No other race of men worth mentioning allows somebody else to tell them who they are. Jews don't let the nazis tell them who's a jew. Palestinains don't let the Isrealis tell them who's a palestinain.
I'm not sure the term was being used to say that "ideal" means reflecting no African traits, you know? I took the article as meaning that they're just as British as anyone else, which is a good thing, and have a lot of modeling experience. As far as I'm concerned, a darker-skinned father would not change that one bit. Wish we had the "all-American" equivalent.
I recall an article in, I think it was Jet magazine(or Ebony) back in the early 80's about an interracial couple (white man/black woman) from the U.K. They met while serving in the Royal Air Force. They had two daughters;(I think) one was white and the other was black. The husband said that when their children are older they will explain their racial make-up to them. The two girls get along great together.
Light brown skin? Check. Nappy hair (nappier than mine)? Check. Full lips? Check. Broad nose? Check. Dude looks black to me. It's not like he looks like El Debarge. He is black. And his kids are easily phenotypically biracial. I don't understand the shade they're getting in this thread. Well, actually I do. The slave master's influence is still prevalent in our comunity. In a lot of circles, you aren't black unless you pass the paper bag and Brillo pad test.
