Looks interesting. It would help if they had older interracial couples in this documentary. I still have vivid memories of the film Diary Of A Tired Black Man and Swirl. I had read a couple of books profiling interracial couples and their families. I'll wait for the DVD.

Anyone want to second my motion that we veto the use of the word "swirl"?

Second. Third, and to infinity and beyond. I think the word is like calling a love scene a rape. Sure, I like chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream. And that is where the word applies. Swirl just seems too derogatory.

Like your feelings for a person are as inconsequential as a choice of dessert. The whole "flavor of the month" thing rings in my head.

"Flavor Of The Month." That phrase needs to go, too.

Has anyone found any ideas to replace it? I liked the word but,no doubt there are others that shows the definition of IR love and relationships.

Let's just outlaw all adjectives. They are offensive.

No. I do not. I don't even use that pronunciation. Do you love the word? How do you feel when you say it? Does it make you laugh? Or does it make you feel all warm and fuzzy because it doesn't apply to you?

Yeah, it's as country as it is annoying. :)

How about keeping it simple? How about using this one word; Connection. Or connectedness. Or this one; a unification. Combine it with the adjectives loving, passionate, honest, deep, etc. That would cover every type of love between human beings in committed relationships.

I'm alright with the regular word 'relationship'. My IR relationships are just like any other relationship. Those IR-specific terms just add more oddity, rarity, or whatever.
