Men as a Problem

Its not as appealing for me because its takes time away from me focusing on my career goals. If I had over 25 mill in the bank my thought process would be different. In practical terms settling down would allow me to focus more on my work.

It's life boo. I hear it very often, I've yet to meet a guy in real life who describes his wife as the one, it's usually the person who put up with his shit that he thinks will be a good mother and/or wife. Very romantic indeed lol

In the case of George Clooney, playing hard to get likely works. Why? Because he's George Clooney and has women falling at his feet on the regular.

If this woman didn't give it up to him right away, that would challenge him in a way that he probably hasn't been challenged in, in a very long time.

Considering he said for decades that he was never getting married again, I would say that whatever this woman did to get him to change his mind, must have been something challenging.

 

I've definitely heard that many times (usually they are already a good mother to their kids). But I've also heard many men talk about their wives as "the one", the "I knew I'd marry her from the first time we met"-type of men. My ex husband was that way. People would comment to me all the time about how he spoke of me. It's not that rare to find men like that IMO.

Honestly, the men who figure they'll marry a chick just because she's put up with his shit, are usually settling out of sheer comfort and/or laziness. Jmo.

But that's it. How do we know that she did anything?they could have very well just been that time in his life and she happened to be someone there at the time.Never under estimate timing. He's a very worldly and wealthy man beautiful intelligent women aren't that hard for someone like him. Her credentials may be impressive to us lowly mortals but to people in that world its not so rare. I recently hung out with some elementary school friends who went to Yale and Wharton and some of their friends. I was so impressed with all those ivy leaguers but them it was business as usual. It really depends on your circles I guess.

 

Maybe men aren't that open with each other but I've rarely heard it described that way.

Most men who aren't quite ready to settle are fairly evasive about their intentions in a close relationship. I have to say, I was quite surprised when my man told me he was ready to get married and wanted to marry me one day. He has been very open about a lot of very serious topics and I guess I'm so used to the bs in dealing with other men, that sometimes I can't find the words to respond right away.

Think it's def true for experienced men and women. Sometimes you have to go thru the motions, have some bad experiences with others to truly appreciate a good thing. When you find it, if you are smart, you hold on!
