Valuations rarely make sense. Look at What's App being valued at 1.9 billion. I seriously don't get it
Most IT products and platforms seem like their valuations are done by an excited teenager, before the inevitable return to earth. I still don't get what investors see in Facebook, beyond a great ad platform. Have ad revenues and attendant sales approached anywhere near those frothy expectations?
Beats isn't anything like What's App. The majority of its revenue comes from manufacturing actual products. It's not just headphones anymore. They also provide speakers for laptops and car audio. Major corporations acquiring smaller companies that turn large profits isn't a new phenomenon.
PREACH!!!! nukkas dont know, we getting money out here in LA. Step you bread up NYC :smt043 :smt043 :smt043 :smt043

Yeah just billionaires in every other damn market. You make it here you can make it anywhere. Dre maybe the first but be sure as hell won't be the last especially with dsudes like Diddy Jay and 50 making monster deals
Congrats if it goes through, not a smart move to jump the gun with self-aggrandizing video clips. We'll see. West up.
The originator of what. Hip hop started in NY the best rappers ever came out of NY the best hip songs came out of NY. Don't get crazy fam
I know, right? Anyway, the deal is supposedly $3.2 billion and Dre has reportedly a 25% stake in the company. 3,200,000,000 x .25 = 800,000,000. Dre would pocket $800 mil which, in addition to the $500-550 mil that he's already sitting on, would push him somewhere in the range of $1.3 billion. Keep in mind that there are only nine black billionaires in the world. None of whom are from Compton.
