I didn't catch it because the Clippers/Warriors Game won out in my home (what a thriller)..and well, because I don't pay to watch boxing..
But the read-up recapping the fight was excellent.
(Personally, I think Floyd needed to be whupped in this fight for his mistreatment of Miss Jackson alone...lil punk.)

I think Maidana might be right that he was robbed - why did they change his gloves?

Scandalous! I didn't watch the fight, but after reading the article, wish I would have. I understand Floyd connected more w punches thrown, so technically that seems his only favor (numbers). Sounds like the other cat fought hard and looked like the winner. Probably feels robbed.

Then again, street fighter vs boxer w strategy... Don't know.

So what's the reason for the gloves change? Anyone know if the gloves would have truly made a difference?

You have to see the fight for yourself.

Maidana used his weight to make the fight ugly...that's all that happened..There was no robbery, just a lot of hating by that writer.

MOST of Maidana's shots either missed....were countered brutally.... or slipped. The few shots he did land had little on them and did little damage.

Floyd fought the best fight for the situation.

Argentine fighters have a very unusual style..you have to either get close or far away..if they catch you in the middle you're in for it.

    That's what happened to Broner.

Mayweather won on the inside and outside and took away the middle. You'll see when you watch the fight.

Mayweather won the fight handily, anyone who knows boxing would draw the same conclusion. Maidana put up a greater challenge than most of Floyd's recent opponents but his best still wasn't good enough.

And Jackson is a $5 dollar hoe looking for an upgrade.

Robbed? What fight were you watching? Mayweather clearly won that fight.

I remember watching the fight I think Mayweather had with Marquez. Though Mayweather won that fight, I had to give Marquez a lot of credit. Marquez was very brave and used his skills in an impressive fight. And he, too, felt that he was robbed. I did not see the fight. I'm sure Maidana give Mayweather a moment of pause. I am sure a rematch is in the future, unless Mayweather chooses to retire as a champion. If he does, what would he be doing with all the down time? Open up a boxing gym/camp for kids? It would be noble. Or follow in the acting footsteps of Mike Tyson? Well, it is all up to him at this point. I don't think he'll be slowing down unless he is defeated.

He's 37 already? Wow he should just go ahead and retire on top.I think he's gonna do a few fights and call it quits again.

It wasn't Mayweather who fought Marquez, it was Bradley. Sorry, my mistake.

Mayweather and Bradley fought Marquez and the latter lost to both. Mayweather pitched a shutout in that match.

    Superfight with Pacquiao?

When is it gonna happen? If he beats Maidana again, it's gotta happen. Pacquaio did his job by avenging the Bradley loss.

Time to make this fight a reality and quit with BS. The sports world has been waiting for it.
