THe most logical explanation is the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean. The why may never be known.

To speculate the plane didn't crash at all and is parked somewhere is a little too fantastic without something plausible to back it up.

I was watching news coverage on this story earlier this afternoon; they are entering a new phase that will use private contractors and may upwards of $60 million. The new phase is going to focus on searching the ocean floor over a much larger area (60,000 square kilometers) in which could take six to eight months.

I can understand people need answers; but damn. This is BANANAS!!!

You know how many poor and hungry 60 million dollars could help? Fuck this plane shit. They're dead lets move the hell on

If this plane were full of black people you would be outraged that the coverage wasn't headline news every day...who is a racist?

Slow down racist that's very untrue. You're missing the point 60 million on finding a missing plane but cutting food programs makes sense to you?
The knowledge of what happened to that plane shouldn't supersede the well being of the living.

It is true and you know it... Who is cutting food programs to fund the search for this plane? Show me the proof that is happening?

What if the living are on the next plane that disappears? Leaves Westchester airport for Chicago and instead flys out into the Atlantic Ocean and disappears

Lol they are cutting social services across the board claiming we don't have any money but surprisingly sixty million just pops up out of nowhere to find out what happened to a plane full of dead people.
My entire family gf included could have been on that plane and finding out how they died isn't going to stop or even alleviate the pain of them not being here. So I'd still say spend the damn money on reducing poverty.

as usual you are making shit up...no where does it say that the 60 million would go towards social services or the hungry...

where they died is not nearly as important as how they died...as well as when and where it will happen again

if this is not an important issue for you then no one is begging you to participate in this thread...

60 Million is a lot of money on this, but I should imagine its a gross over estimate .
We need to remember that although the family's need to find out about their loved ones is important, this will not be the reason why this much money is being spent on finding out what happened.

Until they find the air craft or black box, no one knows if this was

    1, Terrorism
    2, Suicide Pilot
3, Some kind of plane manufacturing fault
4, Some kind of act of god

It's important to remember also, that the money if not spent on this would never have reached the starving/hungry anyway.

Good point. But it is still important to scrutinize and criticize these things but like I said you have a good point even it weren't spent on the plane it wouldn't be spent on the poor

    Yes I agree.

I personally think it was blown up while still in the air, which would account why the locating beacons didn't come on.

And that the wreckage is more shrapnel than a body of a plane.

$60M to me seems quite excessive and just how do they come up w a figure as such? I am certain the government spends money frivolously all the time, and never the way they should. It's sad, really.

These families need answers...yes. It's one big mystery longing by many to be solved. Are these people in a jungle somewhere, dead, or otherwise?

No, we don't want something terrible like this to happen again, however when is it time to say enough is enough? Furthermore, just how are the authorities involved spending this large sum of money to aid in the search efforts? Is anyone accountable to justifying this in detail?

Are other countries going to great extents and spending phenomenal amounts of money trying to solve this mystery?

By what I've read about international air investigation, governed by the united nations if a plane goes down in territorial waters that country is responsible for the investigation, with other local countries lending a hand.

If it goes down in international waters then the airline is responsible for investigating a crash, with nearby countries offering a helping with certain equipment that some countries just don't have.

The ultimate bill in this case should lay with the airline, whether that happens given the amount of money involved remains to be seen.

But remember if this is an act of terror, everyone needs to understand whats going on and how it happened.

Losing a plane in mysterious circumstances was ok back in the olden days, but to have something like that just blink out of existence without a reasonable explanation is every country's problem.
