It is atrocious that this isn't getting more attention. The death of any innocent is a horror. I hope the perpetrator gets the punishment he deserves. One possible reason is that it isn't as sensational. Perhaps the media isn't playing it up because the racial fault line in this nation is THE defining feature of this country, the colonization of the Western Hemisphere of the planet and one of the dominant forces of the last 400 years in every country that is an offshoot of Western Europe. There's no need to divide the country along racial boundaries, they have been there since the Mayflower. Or Columbus. No effort is necessary. The mere existence of this page as some sort of hidden haven for people involved in interracial relationships is proof of the enduring power of race and racism in a country founded on exploiting this difference. Nothing new at all.

The reason police brutality against Whites isn't widely covered in the media, or the murder of European tourists by gun wielding psychos is because it's more threatening to the status quo when the side responsible for the bad acts is YOUR side. If you had stories weekly about police brutality against Whites, it would eventually turn the average White person against law enforcement, just like us Black folk(!), and that's a reality no one in law enforcement wants to deal with. I was on the Metro the other night in D.C. and 5-7 metro cops got on my train. A drunk White guy with his date blurted out, ' I feel much safer seeing you all here!!' A couple officers smiled, but every Black person on that train in earshot either rolled their eyes or turned their heads away. Can you imagine 5 cops getting on a subway car filled with a racially diverse group of commuters, and ALL of them were looking at the cops like they were the enemy?? Not a good scenario for 5-0.
And police brutality against whites is largely confined to the poor and working class. There are repercussions for brutalizing an upper-class white child. Poor whites, blacks, browns, etc? Not so much.
Very true and I have to admit that's where I feel really sorry for poor white males, there is absolutely no advocacy group in their corner because the perception is "you're a white male what do you have to complain about" Unfortunately they let their skin tone fool them into believing that one day they'll be sitting at the table with the people who treat us all like shit

They think the table is defined by race, not capital. But that is by design. There's too many of them to use repression simultaneously against every member of the working class, so some have to believe they're not workers, but "middle class" or "American".
