It would be much better if more people liked it. Just too much negative energy here for me to call it home.

Yep, that's why I moved to Florida. Did Chicago for a year in 2000, but it felt just like a New York-sized St. Louis.

I do love midwestern girls. Yumm. Florida is an "armpit" state. :smt071

Missouri is the original "armpit" state by which all others are measured. There are some pretty women in the midwest, especially in the corn-fed, German-American vein, but the culture of the midwest is insufferable. Too insular, self-referential, parochial. Born and raised there, but had been dreaming of escaping since 1975. As for Florida, I love it more than any place in the US but NYC and DC, but their weather stinks. And I mean the Miami-Palm Beach, Tampa and Ft. Myers-Naples areas, NOT the Panhandle, NE Florida, etc, areas.

Yeah, I once had the "oppportunity" to drive through the deep south, primarily Miss and others with some clients who had done it before (all african american too). I was specifically told not to stop anywhere until we got out of the cespool unless I wanted to be shot. They were not kidding.

Not a big fan of San Antonio but my job is here. Great people but I see a move in my future.

Not really. It's quaint and lacking an active atmosphere, which is perfect for a recluse like myself.
