http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/30/robert-richards-rape_n_5060386.html Expect more of this "Afluenza crap" as capitalists like Paniro get their way. I wish I could say just voting Democrat would be an option, but both parties are bought. Clearly our criminal justice system also has no racial or socio economic bias racism is completely over.
It's a sad story, I really feel sorry for both of his kids. This asshole is heir of Dupont, the company that lobby to criminalized pot so they could take control of the pharmaceutical industry in the 1930's. As I like to read the comments below, check this out. "Let the record reflect the names of those who are supposed to work for justice for We The People but who have FAILED to do so in a matter of the State of Delaware v. Robert H. Richards IV: Prosecutor Renee Hrivnak and Judge Jan Jurden. "In June 2008, he avoided mandatory prison time by pleading guilty to a single count of fourth-degree rape in a deal arranged by Maurer and prosecutor Renee Hrivnak, court records show. Fourth-degree rape is a Class C violent felony that under Delaware law can bring a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, but does not carry a mandatory minimum sentence. Sentencing guidelines used by judges and lawyers call for up to 30 months in prison. Superior Court Judge Jan Jurden sentenced Richards to eight years in prison but suspended that for Level II probation, which requires monthly visits with a case officer. Jurden also ordered him to pay $4,395 to the Delaware Violent Crimes Compensation Board, records filed with the lawsuit show." Wealthy people and their wealthy attorneys will control the courts with no accountability until We The People's outrage is heard loudly and clearly." ~Kris T.
Where is the outrage from our resident culture critic..Paniro??? If Dude were Black he would have started another "where's Jesse and Al" thread.
I'm still surprised this story didn't get more coverage in all media. The affluenza verdict was covered more on TV and this verdict IMO is more disturbing. Does reporting on a rich man with inherited wealth being given beyond special treatment by the courts really threaten the status quo that much??
Pretty much. Any mention of the rich in any negative light gets you dismissed as class warfare promoter. Morality and ethics are dead when we as a society allow a child rapist to go free simply because he/she has money.
Wow....I know someone who got 30 years for selling small quantities of cocaine in a school zone. Can't sell drugs to grown ups who want them, but you can put your penis in a little kid who does not want. Not that either are okay...but WTF?!?
It was a dumb move...period. On another note, I personally have no idea if/when I'm in a school zone. Being within 1,000 feet of a school, church, daycare or playground can be considered being in a school zone. I read an article about this once when they were revising the law in one state from 1,000 ft to 700 ft and a guy said, "When every place is special, no place is special." The sentences are enhanced something serious though.....and black men are usually the ones to get it stuck to them. Lower income areas are more densely populated too so you're almost always in a school zone. I saw where these guys (3 white young dudes) got the 'school zone' enhancement because the cops smelled marijuana coming from their apartment...went in and found drugs, etc. They were smoking pot AT HOME and the school zone was used. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the intent, but it is what it is.
It's all about money part of modern day slavery. You know how many people are getting rich off this shit? It won't stop anytime soon.
lol it is easy to avoid a school zone, I have known about people who done some dumb shit, but selling drugs in a school zone takes the cake. Selling drugs is immoral and risky. When you add the factor of a school zone, it simply becomes dumb. Who in their right mind takes on more unnecessary risk for no reason?? Some people do live in a school zone, but should have enough sense not to sell cocaine there lmao.
It's not as easy as you would like to portray or there wouldn't be a need to bring in experts to analyze maps of the city to testify whether or not a person is in a school zone. Nobody (well, most people) wouldn't say that selling drugs is moral. It happens though, and I'm pretty sure people who are doing something like that aren't stopping to consider (or even could if they wanted to) whether they are in a school zone or not. School zone is not the same thing as school grounds. It's pretty easy to know if you're on a school campus. It's not that easy to know if there's a daycare, park, or church within 1,000 feet of any given place. Either way, it's a lot easier to tell if you're putting your penis in a crying 3 year old than it is to tell if you're in a school zone...and the punishments are not proportionate. That's the point.
Of course this sick fuck won't fare well in prison. If he was in prison, he would be killed. Inmates don't like chicken hawks(child molesters) and these inmates have children themselves. Prison is where this fucker belongs. If he isn't killed by the inmates, lot him rot.
I have already said I agree with that. Anyway notice how TV loves to show dumb criminals, yet I have only seen them show one that was actually dumb enough to sell drugs in a school zone. Out of all the dumb criminals I have known of in my life I have never known of ANYONE dumb enough to sell drugs in a school zone. If you think the milk in your fridge may be spoiled do you risk it by drinking a glass anyway?? A foot ball field is 300ft, if the nearest school is not substantially more than 3 football fields away, who in their right minds take that risk when they can just go further down the street?? If you don't know where you are, chances are you should not be selling drugs there! lol damn
Why isn't moral because someone told you it isn't? Just because someone slaps the word illegal on something doesn't make it wrong. Alcohol, tobacco and fructose corn syrup are all legal drugs killing people a much faster and gruesome rate than "illegal" drugs
I've actually lived my life...nobody needs to tell me anything about drugs...illegal or prescribed. Personally, I couldn't give two fucks less if some crackhead wants to spend her welfare check on a few rocks and lose her apt. cus she's gonna do it regardless..might as well be me (hypothetically) getting the money or someone else will. I still wouldn't say it's a moral thing to do, especially if you consider what you could be contributing to...hungry kids, poor health, etc. That being said, I don't care if someone wants to do drugs, sell drugs, rob a bank, or cheat on their wife. Who knows, I might even participate in some..hah...but I still wouldn't call any of that moral. Basically, I have no morals. Jk. For the purpose of logical conversation though, I have to assume that "most people" do.
Because you did not go to medical school and thus don't really understand what heroin and crack does to people physically and psychologically. Drug dealers also do not care if the client is pregnant, whether or not they can afford it nor do they have knowledge of the persons medical history or concern as to what they intend to do with the drugs once they get it. As much as I dislike corn syrup I know good and well if you feel comfortable making that comparison, you have not seen first hand what crack does to a person.
