Best US city for IR relationships

There's no perfect city in America. The fact is, Mpls. is part of the USA. Having wrote that -- and please read this carefully -- Mpls. is prolly the best city regarding WW who desire to hook up with BM in this country.

Personally, I think Vancouver is better...but Vancouver is in Canada -- not America.

DC is not a really big IR spot at all,most of the people there do not date Ir at all, you might see some now and again but not much. I am from DC and can tell you sure you might get a dance or two in the club but after that it is see ya later.

First off, I just joined this forum today and this is my first time posting. I live in the Detroit area and I must say that it is a bit difficult trying to start an IR relationship here. I'm not sure where the Detroit area ranks but it is VERY racially polarized here. So much so that I have considered moving elsewhere....Anyway everyone on here seems cool and I look forward to getting to know some of you!

Thanks for the info homey but I do not plan on moving out west anytime soon. May be planning a few visits though...

As for the Detroit area, Windsor, Ontario etc. any info on hot spots for IR would be greatly appreciated...

I once overheard a conversation of white police officers in the Bay Area who thought that someone who disagreed with black/white dating was too old fashioned. They were liberal whites from the Bay Area. Isn't that something? However, I now live in FL and would have to say FL has a huge amount of interracial dating among Cubans, Haitians, conservative white southerners, liberal whites, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, etc. There is a large amount of interracial dating in this state. I get hit on at the local gym by FSU undergraduates even though I am 37 and they are in their early twenties. The worst place I witnessed was Notre Dame. The campus had a lot of racist whites (including women) who thought minorities lacked intelligence and/or were prone to crime. To be fair, there were exceptions, but they were infrequent. So I would put San Francisco up on top with Miami, FL at a close second. Racist places include small towns in AZ and some parts of the midwest. Someone also mentioned Orange County, CA as a problem area, which I believe. I am surprised someone mentioned Minneapolis as a good IR city because I once met a light-skinned Mexican woman who complained of racism in a Minnesota suburb. She said everyone kept staring at her, which she thought was due to blatant white racism though she was a light-skinned Mexican. If the person was darker (black, Native American, darker Mexican) I'll bet the racism she spoke of would have been worst.

 

bmanz, I live in Michigan too! do you live within the city or out in the surrounding suburbs? Detroit is chocolate city dude so I would see the problem. lol

 

Man, I live in Southfield near Berkley/Royal Oak area. It is really hard here so I do my dating online for the most part and that hasn't worked out so well. If you've had any luck please tell me how/where. I've been thinking about hanging out in Windsor more...

 

well, what's been your biggest problem?

 

Well lets see. The Detroit area is extremely polarized racially. I don't get the feeling that WW really go for BM here. I know there are some areas like downriver and some parts of the east side that are more IR friendly but to be honest those are mostly (not exclusively) the type that act like they are "hood" with their Ebonics and so forth. Not sexy AT ALL. I dated this one lady who was really into me but all she wanted to do was go to some of the roughest parts of the city to hang out, drink and smoke weed. All the other girls I dated from around here are met on line and on line dating is a whole different monster with different issues that I could sit here and write a book about...

Bottom line is I've been IR dating since October of last year and I have to say that Detroit isn't the best place for IR dating.

I think you've answered your own question: suburb. The burbs are not exactly like the city of Mpls. However, even that burb's attitude is prolly very rare.

Drop Detroit and the burbs and go to Windsor. The women there are nicer.

 

Yeah, I've been over a few times. Just get tired of riding solo so much. The way I was raised you should always take someone with you when you go out (to watch each others back, etc.) especially to another country. But yes, I will be spending more time in Canada homey!!!
