This is Penny, she's an attention whore and cannot stand to be ignored. She finally settled in this spot next to my laptop after parading back and forth over the keyboard several times and shoving her bum in my face :p

These are my new additions to my home. Quèenie, Clementine and Lily. They're looking a little rough because they're ex battery hens. A group of animal libers broke into a chicken farm and stole the sickest chickens so they could nurse them back to health or put them down humanly. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these people

I also have a 17 year old orange tabby named Ophie (Ophelia), but she thinks the camera steals her soul so she's hard to get a good picture of.

my dad use to go fishing at a farm that had the lakes as a side income. there always use to be little chicken, kitten and newborn calves . as a city child i really enjoyed the time and access to them a lot. it s great that your kid and the others have the chance to make those experiences, too.

Thank you! She was the first to come along, I adopted her sister a year later. She loooooves clothes and needs them being so short haired. She's so spoiled and that's okay by me!

Her shirt says, "I'm kind of a BIG DEAL", my sister made the doggy tutu.

And her first "snow". Her shoes weren't here from China yet though. :(

My cats are my motherfucking babies!

I think dogs are annoying and needy as fuck which turns me off completely. I always loved cats because of their arrogance, they take care of themselves and only want you when they need you. They aren't all up in your face like dogs begging for affection.

My girlfriend is the total opposite from me, loved dogs but hated cats. At the time I was away from home a lot working so I thought it'd be a great idea to surprise her with a tabby cat I adopted off of Craigslist as a companion while I'm away. She instantly fell in love with him naming him Larry. Has a very strong bond with him treating him like a little baby. It's so cute when she picks him up, cradles him, and talks to him in the baby voice.

Larry was everything I didn't want in a cat, he was virtually a dog. All he wanted to do is play all freaking day long or he was constantly all over you to be petted. The worse was when he wakes you up at 4am to wrestle or knocking everything off ledges. I'm like fuck, I should just got a dog. His hyper activity brought me to a point to invent a invention to calm his lil hyper ass down which worked for the time being until he smartened up and got around it.

4 months go past and Larry didn't show his face for a full day. Being that he is a indoor cat I figured he ran away and telling my girlfriend the bad news when she got off work. OMG, you would of thought someone died the way she reacted. She was legit bawling her eyes out and depressed for hours. I didn't think he meant that much to her so right away I hop on Craigslist to rescue another cat even tho I was 100% sure he'd return as I kept assuring her.

What the fuck do you know, I return from work the following morning and he's waiting at the door for me. He never even left, I guess he was sleep all day. Regardless, Larry needed a companion so my girlfriend, sons, and I set out for a small adventure to pick up this handsome stray Tuxedo cat I see on Craigslist that's a hour away.

I don't want to call it racism but if it was, it's the first time I experienced blatant racism in a very long time. The area we went to is known for not particular taking a liking to blacks. It was a white lower class family. I think 3 females and 2 males. They was cool as fuck, they gave me the cat and I'm ready to roll out but they Russian mom comes out the house asking me a million and one dumb fucking questions.

Bitch in the ad all desperate to get rid of him but all sudden in she can keep him. My girlfriend comes out the car to assist me seeing the woman is giving me trouble. My girlfriend isn't the type to scream racism but even she said this woman looked like she didn't like me but was cool when she appeared. Even the woman's kids started huffing, puffing, rolling they eyes on some damn mom, shut the fuck up and let the man go. I finally had enough hearing the mom talk, said thanks deuces.

Being our first cat's name was Larry, I named him Gary since I considered them brothers now. Gary was a straight up asshole to Larry in the beginning. Larry would look at Gary with curiosity and admiration always wanting to play. Gary would just hiss and growl back at Larry all day long. Gary was the cat that I originally wanted Larry to be. Larry would just eat his food, shit, and found a dark place to sleep all day. This made him become the dark child of the household. My girlfriend didn't like him since he was so mean to her baby and my sons didn't care for him either. I loved Gary tho, such a husky masculine cat with the most handsome big black eyes.

Larry was super stiff and hated being picked up in the beginning. I think he was abused. All he needed was some love. A couple times Larry would get too close and Gary would paw the shit out of him. It was sad seeing this, Larry was so confused and didn't understand why Gary hated him so much. Gary's meanness did make a man out of Larry tho.

Gary had Larry shook the first couple weeks taking over the household prancing around like he was king lol. Larry no long was this playful hyper active cat. He observed Gary all day long taking mental notes of his every move. Every so often he would get close to Gary feeling him out hoping he would play but Gary wasn't having it.

One day, Larry had enough of being pushed around and beat the fuck out of Gary which was funny because it showed Gary was all bark, no bite. Gary was shook for a while and would hide all day. Now a days, they tolerate each other. They can finally be in the same room without fighting or hissing for much of the day.

Sometimes tho, they are straight up assholes to each other. They like to sneak up on each other when the other is unsuspecting and paw each other in face then run. It's so cute and hilarious. I'm fighting the urge so bad of adding a additional cat to the family.
