With a porous Southern Border that doesn't mean a whole lot though.

For every one that's deported how many are entering?

Fine, but what do you solve by putting millions of illegals in U.S. prisons??

I'd rather my tax dollars be spent getting illegals out of the country, not warehousing them in U.S. prisons.

I don't know that imprisonment for non-dangerous illegals is the answer either.

Definitely start with plugging security gaps at the border. From there you can implement other measures, some of which you've mentioned ie; fining employers who illegally hire.

It's scary because I've heard estimates the number is closer to 20-30 million, but if most Americans knew that we'd have a hermetically sealed border and ready to go to war with Mexico.

That 11 million is a total guess and I wish people would stop quoting it.

Yeah, I hear they're pretty strict.

    I totally agree.

Only when they get caught re-entering would I lock them up...just like they do down south.

    I'd give mexico a choice

    A) Open your borders and grant birthright citizenship...public education...health care...home ownership..sanctuary cities....catch and release programs and everything else America does for your citizens.

    Or

    B) Get ready to repatriate your people and their children back to mexico en mass...and pay the tab they've be running up on our taxpayers.

    And pretty hypocritical.

It's in their constitution to never allow so much immigration as to change their demograhic...in the meantime...they are doing just that to us.

I didn't know that was in their constitution. Interesting.

Exactly. Nothing controls the out of control budget more than adding millions of people to the prisoner rolls.

In the DOJ Document I provided, it specifically stated that there are NO EXCEPTIONS TO NOT PROSECUTE OTHER ILLEGALS, EXCEPT THOSE FROM MEXICO, CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA. In other words, if you hail from Europe, Africa, The West Indies, Haiti, Cuba, etc...you are NOT EXEMPT from prosecution for being here illegally.

@ Fiscal sense, what FH and Shaft suggested sounds like a plan...or we could build a longer wall? (using American laborers of course :smt001 )

I have heard the same 20 million figure... if correct, it will be a congestive, logistical processing nightmare for INS. [IMG]

It is funny however, how Biden never went before the U.S's European, Canadian, Australian or African Chamber of Commerce’s to kiss ass tout illegal Immigration. Hmmm
