Went to the Full Frame Film Festival last Thursday and I saw the premire of the documentary Jesse Owens. Loved it. It will be on The American Experience on PBS soon. Because I had to work today I missed the documentary about Ethel Kennedy by her daugher Rory.
Just finished watching Russell Brand: Addiction to Recovery. Such an honest look at addiction and his addictions an the battle with them.
I saw the documentary on Sam Cooke and enjoyed it. The docs on Jack Johnson the Ken Burns one and the one where the soundrack done by Miles Davis are my faves.

This was an excellent and saddening documentary. Well worth watching! I watched "Serving Life" recently, which is about inmates serving life sentences who vounteer in the prison hopsice center and basically nurse fellow inmates into death. It was moving and very interesting... and I wept like a damn baby!!! :smt022 I highly recommend it. It's on Netflix!
THIS is funny to me. I could never understand why people think getting rid of street dealers would lower drugs in this country. By the time drugs hit the streets, they have gone through some of the most powerful men in this country. I have yet to see Tyrone or Ray Ray and nem flying a cessna jet full of cocaine from the middle east.
I read Sea World tried to boycott this and are suing or sued to try to stop its distribution..Heard it's really good too, like you say.
I can imagine they would, it's fairly damning. They certainly made no comment for the film itself. You should check it out, Bliss.
