You're making me hungry. I'm all about the peach or mango yogurt in the a.m. And that lunch sounded righteous! You're giving me lunch ideas for tomorrow.

Lol @ overcook it...so hear you, luv.

Thanks for the recipe! So true at the caramelize descript! Btw, haha, I said the very thing..:"that's it??" Who knew. Awesomely easy.

Mmm, especially using a nice, thick filet. Can't go wrong here. Very simple taste.

Never heard of it. So I looked it up...interesting and exotic variant on pickled cabbage. Looks tempting enough to try.

Thanks to you and Orejon, I'm craving yogurt now. Yum.

I tried a coconut flavored yogurt made with almond milk. Had flakes of coconut in it - wasn't bad! Looked kinda like vomit though. :-| I usually buy coconut milk yogurts - wouldn't it make sense to make a coconut yogurt with coconut milk?! Haven't found that yet...

I'm a complete Pinterest junkie when it comes to new recipes. I made a chicken and asparagus lemon stir fry last night that was awesome. Im not a big meat eater so I cut it back a bit and doubled the asparagus...quite yummy! Leftovers today are even better ;)

hahaha. I was thinking that when I read the first bit of your post... it would totally make more sense to make it with coconut milk. As "hippie" as I am, I've never tried anything except the yogurt that's considered "normal". Do you have any favorites? Going to check out stores next time I'm food shopping! :)

So Delicious makes coconut and almond milk yogurts. They have the regular version and the Greek yogurt. They're.....ok. I'm not crazy about them. But I can't have regular yogurt so I deal with it. I like to dip fresh fruit in the vanilla. I find mine in the health food section of a large chain store (Giant) here. They make ice cream too, but I haven't tried any of them. They run $5-something for a pint.

    Here's their website: http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/

I bought hemp ice cream once just to test. Ick. I'll leave anything pot/hemp related to my sister ;)
Going to check it out! When mom buys yogurt, it always disappears too fast. Anything from the health food section that makes its way into our house gets the "Nicole's weird hippie food" label... so no one else tries to eat it! :D

Sirloin and broccoli and cauliflower stirrfry.

Slice sirloin against the grain in slivers.
Marinate in oyster sauce and sesame seed oil and pressed garlic. About 1/10 of sesame seed oil to oyster sauce.

Cut broccoli and cauliflower in small bouquets. The amount should be equal to the amount of beef.

Cut about two green onions, only the white part, in slices, one pressed garlic clove and let sit in 1/3 cup of olive oil.

Cut the greenn parts of the green onions into slivers and set aside.

Fry the meat until done on high heat then take out of the pan .

Add about 1/3 of water to pan and steam vegetables about 3-5 minutes on medium heat with a lid. Do not overdo them.

Take the vegetables out and while the pan with paper if needed.

    Turn pan to high heat.
Add back the meat in a ring, add the green onions and garlic mix. Fry for about 1-2 minutes and then smash the onion/garlic mix with a wooden spoon and mix with meat. Then add vegetables and heat for a minute.

Serve over jasmine rice with the green onion, green parts set aside sprinkled on top.

Do not try to simplify the recipe, I tried. It just does not taste as good as if done this way. It's yummy!

Chicken and Asparagus Lemon Stir Fry

    Servings: 4 • Size: 1 1/4 cups • Calories: 268 • Fat: 7 g • Carb: 10 g • Fiber: 3 g • Protein: 41 g • Sugar: 0 g
Sodium: 437 mg (without salt) • Cholest: 98 mg

    Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
    Kosher salt, to taste
    1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium shoyu or soy sauce (or Tamari for GF)
    2 teaspoons cornstarch
    2 tablespoons water
1 tbsp canola or grapeseed oil, divided
1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed, cut into 2-inch pieces
    6 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 tbsp fresh ginger
    3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    fresh black pepper, to taste

    Directions:

Lightly season the chicken with salt. In a small bowl, combine chicken broth and soy sauce. In a second small bowl combine the cornstarch and water and mix well to combine.

Heat a large non-stick wok over medium-high heat, when hot add 1 teaspoon of the oil, then add the asparagus and cook until tender-crisp, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until golden, about 1 minute. Set aside.

Increase the heat to high, then add 1 teaspoon of oil and half of the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside and repeat with the remaining oil and chicken. Set aside.

Add the soy sauce mixture; bring to a boil and cook about 1-1/2 minutes. Add lemon juice and cornstarch mixture and stir well, when it simmers return the chicken and asparagus to the wok and mix well, remove from heat and serve.
