Politicians betray this country and your families. This patch of soil that we call the USA belongs just as much to them as it belongs to you. So-called Americans have this thing where they feel this country belongs to them and they have some duty to protect it from others who were not born here or received the INS blessing to be here.

As a human being, we all should be entitled to step foot where ever we want on this earth. That should be our right at birth. Instead, we're taught to pledge allegiance to a country for the simple fact that we happened to be born in it?

If a person wants to come here to try to have a better life for himself and his family, who the hell is anybody to deny them that right? What's the concern? Undercutting? Taking your jobs? Taking advantage of your health care system? And people really feel that the fact that they were born somewhere entitles them to these "wonderful benefits"? I say come! Fuck INS and the months or years it takes to gain citizenship through their lazy ass workers. Come take INS workers jobs and speed up the "legal" process for your brothers and sisters. Come take advantage of our shitty education system. Come take advantage of our shitty, over-priced, market driven health care system. Come breathe our sacred polluted American air and drink of our contaminated water.

Nationalis... I mean Patriotism is bullshit.

All I've ever wanted is for this country to be in CONTROL of its own immigration policy and not have those policies dictated to us by foreign nationals.

When I hear illegal immigrants and their advocates argue they have a RIGHT to be in this country, it burns me up.

Unless you don't believe in the concept of nation-states, only legal citizens have a 'right' to permanently be in this country, or any country for that matter.

Once we're in control of immigration policy which means virtually no illegals crossing our southern border(BTW I think we should have U.S. agents on the MEXICO side of the border too), then I'm all in favor of expediting the naturalization process for working illegals AND Mexicans seeking citizenship.

It shouldn't take more than 12-18 months to process citizenship papers for an applicant from Mexico.

    Damn right .......fool.

It's the only country I have....no sense giving it to any tom dick or julio with a fake SS#...especially when they have their own country.

Take your Black ass down south and see how many laws you can break before they send you home in a body-bag.

Malcome X's grandson was sent home in a body bag and he was just visiting.

It should be just as hard to become a US citizen as it is to become a mexican citizen.

FH,Jack London dissed the boxer Jack Johnson and wanted a White hope to defeat him. I take his words like a grain of salt.

To the conservatives I like to know if you want these illegals to learn how to pass the test and the whole nine yards? What is your opinion when Reagan granted them citizenship in the late 80's.

Jack London did not have a lot of nice things to say about black people. He was a white man and he was always in support of white people. But when he saw Jack Johnson beat a white opponent, he had respect for Jack Johnson.

I had not read any of London's work that shown the respect to Jack Johnson only disrespect.

I had not read any of Jack London's books, either. And I doubt that he depicted Jack Johnson's win in any of his books. But, if you check out the PBS show Unforgiveable Blackness, it shown there

You are absolutely correct, Gorath. I am a huge, huge fan of White Fang and Call of the Wild.
They shaped my undying love for animals.

I did not know he wrote anything about Jack Johnson. So I looked it up and here is what he said about the magnificent boxer...

"An amateur boxer and avid boxing fan, London reported on the 1910 Johnson-Jeffries fight, in which the black boxer Jack Johnson vanquished Jim Jeffries, the "Great White Hope".
In 1908..., London praised Johnson highly, contrasting the black boxer's coolness and intellectual style, with the apelike appearance and fighting style of his white opponent, Tommy Burns: "what . . . [won] on Saturday was bigness, coolness, quickness, cleverness, and vast physical superiority... Because a white man wishes a white man to win, this should not prevent him from giving absolute credit to the best man, even when that best man was black. All hail to Johnson." Johnson was "superb. He was impregnable . . . as inaccessible as Mont Blanc."

    You know your stuff, Gorath.

Oh gee, I didn't even notice that! How bloody awesome.
Gosh, I wish we had Jack Johnson in modern day, too. He was so ahead of his time. 'Swagger' x 100! Always giving the 'F.U', to his haters. Fearless. :freehug:

That fearlessness was probably bordering on recklessness...his stardom buffered him from the blackman's reality in that day.....

One of Jack Johnson's defeated opponents would later become an Oscar winning actor(for the film The Informant). His name was Victor McClaglen.
