It's a problem I don't see ending anytime soon and in a couple of generations I think we'll be like Canada, where part of the country is almost exclusively French speaking and the other parts English speaking.

This is why we're better off giving illegals a path to citizenship and forcing them to pay into the social safety net with federal income taxes.

It's going to be hard for a Dem to sell this message trying to win the WH, but a 'compassionate' Conservative, non-Tea party member could get tough with Mexico on their illegal immigration problem, lockdown the borders AND provide a pathway to citizenship for the working illegals already here.

I still believe because of their geography Mexican illegals should have an expedited path to citizenship, but they shouldn't be the ones directing American immigration policy.
