The blurred lines in Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s marriage have seemingly cleared. The longtime couple are ending their marriage, reports People. “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” they said in a joint statement to the mag on Monday. The “Blurred Lines” singer met Patton when he was just 14 and they became high school sweethearts. The parents to three-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke got married on June 11, 2005. The pair were all smiles when they attended the Grammy Awards on Jan. 26 despite multiple reports of his infidelity. At the beginning of the year Thicke, 36, was seen cozying up to an unidentified woman at a Paris nightclub. The "Give it 2 U" singer reportedly danced the night away at Club 79 in the French city and kept the company of a woman who was certainly not Patton. Back in August he was also seen engaging in naughty behavior. That time he was partying at a New York hotspot following his highly sexualized MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus. At 1Oak he posed for what initially appeared to be an innocent photo with a fan, which she later posted online. But with a closer look the mirror reflection in the snapshot shows Thicke's hand grabbing the young woman's backside as he smiles for the camera. He described his marriage to 38-year-old "2 Guns" actress Patton as "the greatest love of the century, and the most functional, dysfunctional marriage in Hollywood," to Star magazine. Thicke even said his controversal hit single, which was pegged for copyright infringement of a Marvin Gaye classic, was actually about Patton. "I don't think people got it," he told BBC's Newsbeat, according to the Daily Mail. "I wrote it about my wife … she's my good girl. And I know she wants it because we've been together for 20 years." While there's no confirmation whether infidelity was the cause of their breakup, his rumored extramatrial affairs have been widely talked about. "Some of our individual goals still haven't been realized," he told USA Today in July about his relationship with Patton. "But we have a healthy child. We're madly, crazily in love." The singer and actress' reps have yet to respond to the Daily News' request for comment. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...n-call-quits-years-marriage-article-1.1700217
Really sorry to hear this. Hs sweethearts . Can't really say I'm surprised though; Robin has been acting out and I'm sure Paula just got sick of dealing w it. Supposedly separate lives or open marriage; not really a big shock things ended this way.
I think Paula Patton has had it up to here with his antics but hey high school sweethearts have a special bonds so who knows
LMAO. I was just thinking in general as I hate to see people's relationships fall apart unless the people are truly horrible. That being said, it's incredibly difficult to resist temptation when you have fawning sexpots all over you willing to do anything for some. This goes for both male and female stars.
