I can't live in michigan anymore. I have to go somewhere else where I can get a better job/career, and hopefully it will be very IR friendly. It's not here.

Only other place I can see myself settling is somewhere near Paris. At a push I would consider Spain. I don't want to be somewhere too far away from my family in France.

Anyone ever been to Belize? I understand that the "official" language is English, compared to other parts of Latin America...

I did cross practically the world with my ex-husband. He is air force and we went from Wyoming to Guam ... long ass flights, let me tell ya. There was already a "cultural difference" between my ex and myself. I was born in Germany, he in Trinidad & Tobago. I grew up in the US, he grew up in the Caribbean. We made it work for almost 14 years ... so to me, it can be done just don't lose yourself while trying to jump into that new culture.

No, but be careful though. The word is that it is a rather popular place for criminals to hide out there from the FBI, because of the same reason it interests you (english). I would consider the cost of living. If it does not compare well with the other countries in Latin America there does not seem to be much of a reason to live there. After all Spanish is not hard to learn.

I love to travel and see all parts of the world, but U.S. is my home. I can't imagine living in another country, but I never say never. I only hope I'm lucky enough to find someone so special that I would consider doing that for. I will probably remain in America, and I hope to end up in California.
