One thing this case does prove: americans aren't mature enough for easy access to guns.

I'm 34. My cognitive understanding is the same as hers because they're eggs. If I walked outside tomorrow and someone egged my car, looking for the closest deadly weapon would not be my first course of action, period.

This person strikes as the kind of guy who owns a gun just hoping that he'll get the chance to use it someday. He's a hammer constantly in search of a nail.

My own personal theory is that people with guns are a lot more likely to start shit and a lot less likely to walk away. A pistol makes a lot of small, unimportant people into mighty big men.

    medullaslashin,
The man is looking at a total of 60 years in jail,...at his age, that is a life sentence. Just like in the Zimmerman case, the man's fate was determined by a jury of his peers, NOT by a justice system rigged to condemn more black defendents.....Somewhere at some point that has to begin to register in the context of these forum discussions......Once again---the mans fate was determined by a jury of his peers, NOT by a justice system rigged to condemn more black defendents......
Now we will never know the composition of that jury,...what we do know is that they were given specific parameters by the DA to render a fair verdict......So, at some point, all people, including blacks have to trust these ramdomly selected citizens of our peers, to do their civic duty and give-up the bitching about unfairness in the justice system .........

i appreciate the fact that you said PEOPLE...no labels attached just people...these people shooting other people come from all walks of life and probably shouldn't own guns...you should have to prove that you are a sane individual before having the ability to purchase a gun

Archman - a question: Do you think that in all the history of this country the justice system has ever been systematically unfair?

    a simple question.

    Archman Well-Known Member

Yes !.....The system was woefully unfair in mid 60's, 50's, 40's and before....

Now.....If I may pose a simple question to you-----
With a very empathetic Black president in the Whitehouse, and a black attorney general also actively looking-out for the best interest of American blackmen through various tentacles of influence-----Would it not seem to you that they both would be making it their priority to correct any unfairness against black defendants.................. Unless perhaps they were confronted with so many staggeringly new new cases filling the court dockets daily, that their efforts would not make a dent ... Please answer: Why has there not been a precipitous drop in black convictions under a first black president ?....

Because the laws haven't changed, the crooks haven't changed, etc. etc. Obviously. Thinking two men can change everything like that is really kinda stupid.

...And to get at what you're implying: if you think that WHATEVER numbers of blacks involved in the criminal justice system makes being unfair to innocent black people somehow okay, I dare you to come straight out and say it. Fact is, you won't.

Check it out: how do you know when you're in league with the devil? Answer: When you hold a whole bunch of shit in your heart that you can't say, because you know deep down that it's evil.

...But anyway, to the point that I want to make: That system that was "woefully unfair in mid 60's, 50's, 40's and before" was the same trial by jury of your peers system that you seem to think precludes injustice in the present day, per your quote below:

"the mans fate was determined by a jury of his peers, NOT by a justice system rigged to condemn more black defendents......So, at some point, all people, including blacks have to trust these ramdomly selected citizens of our peers, to do their civic duty and give-up the bitching about unfairness in the justice system"

Same system today, as in yesteryear when it was "woefully unfair". Fact is, then, as now, there were many levers to pull if you want to ensure that justice does not get served. Racist DA. Racist judge. Wrong charges. Plant in jury. Biased jury composition. Societal racism. Biased laws that target minorities (eg. 10 years for crack, slap on the wrist for cocaine) etc. etc. etc.

Indeed, how do you think the "woeful unfairness" of the 60's, 50's, 40's was achieved? Magic? Hypnosis? It was achieved in many of the same ways as today.

...So don't tell blacks to stop "bitching about unfairness". Unfairness should be rooted out, simple as that. And kudos and props and thumbs up to all people who are disgusted by it and want to see it gone.

Fam I am seriously baffled by you. I have several members of my family who are Republican and/or religious like you (hell i'd be a Republican if it weren't for the overtly religious conservatives who've high jacked the party) but this dismissal of openly racist views towards black men both innocent and guilty alike seem to completely elude you. Its really troubling because you are educated and well to do and its really disheartening to think that there are those amongst us who adopt the ideology of as long as I am ok everything is ok.
So what if our President is black, there were black slave owners, there were black millionaires before the civil rights era as we can see even though some made strides it was insanely unjust for the vast majority.
And I'm sorry that jury of your peers nonsense rarely holds any weight when my peers don't see me as one of them, when they see me as an other.
I will continue to pray for you kid.

But what about his son, who fucked with their shit on Halloween? Imagine how he'd feel if his son was shot dead for that prank?

unfortunately people don't think about that its all about me me me, what's happening to me.
I really hope there's more to this story because this is some real crazy shit. Maybe he mistook the sound of eggs hitting metal as gunshots. I know its a reach but like its been said before how can someone with a child have such disregard for life.

Yep, people like him, Dunn, Zimmerman, rogue cops, all looking for that excuse whatever it is to shoot dead innocent people for a perceived 'injustice to them', but in reality is only a slight, or disrespect at most.

No I'm not saying that at all, I was mocking your comment in the Dunn thread, which is why I included your quote.

They put mayo and egss on his car, they didn't throw them per'se I think, I have to find the original British report I read on this murder last week, something along the lines of he came out and they took off and he came after them and blasted at the car.

Anyway he is claiming he was firing a warning shot. Don't think so buddy, not with multiple kid's hit.

Dude deserves the death penalty with that fucking depraved behavior. Now a bunch of parents gotta either bury or care for wounded kids over eggs and mayo? Fucking sick

I wager to bet that Adrian Broadway herself never through an egg, a girl on the game book series and the cheer team would not provoke a grown man to rage over his property like that...... her young life was cut short by being caught-up with reckless company........

Very good point, which is why I was pondering why they were out at 1 a.m.

Maybe she snuck out unbeknownst to her parents.

This. So much easier to do that. No more are the days of sneaking in the kitchen to use the house phone to plan shit like this out. You can plan things down to the minute from your cell phone via text

Willie Noble, like Michael Dunn will NOT face murder 1 charges because the DA will not be able to prove premeditation or pre-planned malice …….He will have to concede that this, like Michael Dunn, was a reactionary crime based on spontaneous rage …. the jury therefore, will be instructed to consider 2nd degree murder in the death of Adrian Broadway also…..
