Only a few minutes in but I'll watch the rest at work. Great stuff from what I've seen thus far.

Pointless debate. They both fell into the trap of arguing their own perceptions. It's like arguing your favorite color.

How are facts Nye provided a perception?

Because the same evidence can be interpreted different ways.

Bill Nye believes that the laws of science are the one truth in the universe. Intelligent design allows for the idea that the "laws of the science" have a writer.

So any evidence can be used by either side. All that differentiates them, is what they chose to believe. So debating it is pointless.

That's more like an appeasement answer because one side relies on fairytale thinking without any empirical evidence, whereas the other relies on factual (not to be confused with belief) evidence. And if there are any conjectures, they are performed through the scientific method, which is the solid grounds for understanding the known universe.

There's no evidence in creationism nor intelligent design. It would fail the test on the first step.

It's just silly that we have to conform or appease a crowd of adults who still hold superstition high and call it credible. That's the downfall of human logic and rationale.

I don't watch those types of debates anymore. If you don't accept evolution, fine. Keep your beliefs out of the (public) educational system and we never have to speak on it again.

Keep it out of the educational system, period. We've made some heavy setbacks intellectually and we cannot simply afford to appease a crowd of individuals who want equal credibility.

Besides, as a nation, we all have to be on the same page if we want to keep up with the rest of the world, or set an example on what to do to keep the health of a nation strong.
