"But her plight has nothing to do with Obamacare. It's a product of her own apparently flawed decision to refuse even to look into the benefits the healthcare law might provide. And it's another sign of how threadbare the GOP criticism of the Affordable Care Act has become. If this is the best they can conjure up for what might be one of the best-watched TV appearances a back-bench Republican congresswoman gets to deliver, shouldn't they give up already?"

Precisely my point, Democrats use manipulated stories/spin too, but I believe its important to get the word out on ACA.

Every single democrat in the U.S. congress voted for this bill....Every single republican voted it down (in it's present form)....The ambition for what each side wanted went straight down party lines......Now---- the sentiment for what citizens of the country want, should be reflected clearly in the results of up-coming mid-term elections........We will have to wait and see....

    Loki,
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) just released their prediction (this morning), that 2.3 million jobs will be lost over the next several years under OBAMACARE....Who in this uncertain time needs to loose their job…. My Goodness……

Ah statistical forecasts, they can be spun in so many different ways, from Factcheck.org below...
No, CBO did not say Obamacare will kill 2 million jobs

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...d-not-say-obamacare-will-kill-2-million-jobs/

"The CBO’s estimate is mostly the result of an analysis of the impact of the law on the supply of labor. That means how many people choose to participate in the work force. In other words, the nonpartisan agency is examining whether the law increases or decreases incentives for people to work."

"the White House pushed back on the argument that Obama's signature domestic policy achievement would mean an actual reduction 2.5 million jobs. "It's not that the businesses are cutting those jobs," said Jason Furman, who chairs the White House Council of Economic Advisers. He said the CBO report showed an impact on labor supply rather than demand for workers from employers."

Doomsday reading scenarios. Let the misinformation begin.

    Fellas,
I love you both....You are both bright and good for my learning...But the CBO is a separate entity, an independent animal unto it self....And it arrived at these findings as a result of its own independent study....We have to give some credence to the CBO.....

Absolutely, as an independent and bi-partisan organization, the CBO does a very good job of just presenting data without a political agenda (not perfect but very good IMO). The link I posted is not disputing the data presented by the CBO, it is simply disputing that the data equates to over 2 million jobs lost due to the ACA. Both sides, liberals and conservatives, use statistics and data for "spin" reasons for sure.

Thing is, Republicans are good at making noise even if the noise is annoying they make it and can be heard and knowing that most Americans do not read, they hope to gain leverage from it.

How are you so certain "that most Americans do not read"......It raises the question whether or not you can read......The debate here is not about republicans....It is about what the CBO has predicted regarding Obamacare.

Here again, if YOU can to read--- A statement was released as late as this morning byThe CBO director himself corroborating yesterdays report...
He said quote: "Obamacare amounts a disincentive to work"

Any health-reform plan that seeks to offer coverage to the uninsured will have this type of effect on the labor market. As Josh Barro notes, the new Republican plan to replace Obamacare offered by Senators Tom Coburn (Okla.), Richard Burr (N.C.), and Orrin Hatch (Utah) also has a means-tested subsidy to help the poor buy health insurance.

"Conservatives", republicans don't have to stick to the truth. Whatever works is what they go for...

Remember death panels? The gov't is going to kill grandma?

These political conmen know that most americans are lazy-minded fools, bigots, etc. etc. with short memories and shorter attention spans

Even more telling is the number of regular conmen that have pounced on the fools' paranoia of a black president, with bogus "protect your money from the coming collapse" schemes and such.

Paul ryan says obamacare will discourage people from working more, since they'll have the option to have better health care without working more hours.

I guess the alternative is, if you don't pick up the pace on the hamster wheel, you lose your coverage. Shows the gop's true colors -- all about enslaving people to the corporate oligarchy.

You'd think they'd be all for single payer -- in which the corporations wouldn't have to get their hands dirty with health care at all -- but no, that would make people freer to tell the bosses "fuck you" and that's no good for their power over the masses
