Rule #34 bro. Rule #34. I'm surprised that there hasn't been a Passion of the Christ porn parody. I need to keep searching for it if it already exist.
You know, Eisenberg could actually work. Remember, Lex sees himself as the hero, that this alien Superman, professes to be. He, through his technical genius, is the true savior and guiding light of the human race. Couple that with a general mistrust of this new age of information tech and the people behind it, he could make a very compelling Lex Luthor. Luthor was never really physically imposing. The fear factor of Luthor comes from him being both a scheming sociopath and one of the most brilliant, driven and imaginative people on the planet. Plus, he's got the $$$ to do whatever he wants. This might actually be pretty sweet.
Add also a young man's curiosity, Youth, intelligence, drive, madness and wealth are a potentially lethal combination that cannot be ignored. Perhaps a young portrayal of Lex Luthor is needed. It worked on Smallville.
I don't doubt that it could be a good take on Luthor because as you point out the threat level of Luthor has never been what he brings on a physical level. I think most comic fans may have just gotten use to a slightly older & somewhat cocky take on Luthor and Eisenberg both in appearance and past roles goes opposite the picture. It will indeed be an interesting contrast to Cavill's Superman.
When you think about it...Luthor and Zuckerberg could be quite similar in personality and Eisenberg pulled that one off pretty well.
Y'all make some interesting points about Esienberg, but there are more facets to Lex Luthor then just evil genius. One of Lex's biggest attributes is his bad guy charm. Esienberg is way to creepy to be charming in my opinion.
True, but a lot of the current crop of rich & powerful people lack charm or charisma and still have people flock to them because of their status. I think Eisenberg will work as a 21st century take on Lex Luthor in that regard, which could be why he was cast for the part.
More and more intrigued after watching this trailer. On that note...what's the likelihood of The Black Panther making a cameo?
Unless they are doing something that will official introduce Vibranium into the movie universe, I don't see him popping up. Being that Ultron is to be the villain in the second Avengers movie introducing Vibranium into the mix would make sense considering that Adamantium is currently tied to the X-Men over at Fox and they need another super metal. I'll have to go back and re-watch the first Captain America movie because I can't remember if they mentioned exactly what his shield was composed of in the movie since in the comics it's a combination of Adamantium & Vibranium.
Actor Paul Bettany, the voice for the A.I. version of Jarvis in the three Iron Man films as well as the Avengers, will now have an actual physical role in the upcoming Avengers : Age of Ultron movie as he has officially been cast to play the Vision, who has just been revealed as the newest Avengers related character that will appear in the movie.
So lets see Iron Man Captain America Thor Hulk Black Widow Hawkeye Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Falcon? Vision. That is a pretty full roster. I hope they give each character their due screen time. **Spoilers** Oh, and there is a rumor going around that Nick Fury doesn't survive Captain America 2
Samuel L. Jackson is reportedly signed on for nine Marvel movies, so if Fury is killed off in Captain America 2, I'm thinking it won't be the real Fury but an LMD, considering the classic version of Nick Fury was known to fake his death on more than one occasion in order to engage in various covert activities whenever he learned of serious global level threats in order to counter them. I believe he did that very thing prior to the whole Skrull Secret Invasion in order to gather his own secret army to fight against the Skrulls when he learned about their infiltration if I'm not mistaken.
In other Marvel movie related news actress Evangeline Lily is reportedly in talks to play a role in the upcoming Ant-Man movie and early speculation is that the role could possibly be that of Janet Van Dyne aka the Wasp.
Yeah. Definitely a watch when it comes out on DVD rental just to say I've seen it rather than seeing it at the theater movie for me.
Hmm.......I don't really like the tone of this trailer. It's like they arn't realy taking the concept that seriously. If your going to have a movie with a walking tree and a gun toting raccoon, you have to hard sell it to the audience.
