Do you understand the concept of Jesus being the Word incarnate? If so, then the second portion of scripture says what you're looking for.
Ches you do have a point here. The bible only claims the quotes of Jesus to be the word of God. Very interesting. When I get a chance to read the bible again I am only going to read the quotes of Jesus, to see what perspective I get.
Interesting read in your link. In Alioufall's link, there is a second link authored by a woman (Kelsey Monica) who facilitated the help for this young rape victim and her child...Kelsey writes she was also conceived from rape, and was actually alerted to this young teen's plight by the (also child of rape )woman(Rebecca Kiessling) in your link. Reading Kelsey's POV and helping journey, I found this part particularly touching... "I wish that my birth mother could see how God is using me to help a girl who is in the same place she was 40 years ago. (She) passed away on March 6 of this year, and what a blessing it was for me to be there for her. She was with me when I took my first breath, and I was with her, holding her hand, when she took her last. I am sure she is looking down today with a smile on her face". Now while 14 I personally feel is waaay too young to decide to be a mother, it appears these people have come to the young victim's aid with a wonderful network of support, and that she also will NOT lose out on her education, either...they have set up a College Fund not only for her, but her baby as well! Pulling for them both.
If anyone one raped my daughter at that age, I will remind God that David murdered someone yet he God called him a man after his own heart, so i will repent after i am done with that creep. As for keeping he child its the girl and her parents choice but i will NOT let my daughter keep the seed of a rapist cus i believe in the transference of some traits in a seed of a man to his child.
*sigh* You're right, TDK. You always are. Believe it or not, I know how to read AND comprehend the Bible. Sunday School would be a bonus.
Wow. Really?? What does that have to do with studying the Bible??? I didn't finish, but yes, TDK, I went to college.
Most Bible scholars are home schooled. It's not the same per se as a rigorous formal academic study, but I know people like my grandfather who knew the Bible intimately because they read that book the whole way through once a year. No need to be a theology snob.:smt006 If someone makes a religious statement you disagree with, you challenge them on it. You don't 'check' their credentials.
Pretty much. But those who are home schooled, I wouldn't even refer to them as scholars anyway. They simply mix their traditionalist upbringing and mix it up with their religious fervor. And that's why I'll never look at people at places like Liberty University or Oral Roberts as experts or scholars on biblical teachings since it's all based on modern, conservative rhetoric.
