I see your point but what we all must remember is that these two are division opponents and this was their third time playing each other this season alone. They legitimately do not like one another. This isn't fake. The media builds up the hype for these so called rivalries and then when A REAL RIVALRY evolves and the guys don't like each other and speak on it, suddenly its a problem. I'm sorry America but that isn't the way it works. Do we expect these guys to try and knock each others heads off for 60 minutes and then have a tea party in the locker room after the game?

Lastly, ive seen a lot of people trying to take shots at Richard Sherman since Sunday. Id like to take this opportunity to say back off the man. He's arrogant because he has earned the right
- He has a degree from Stanford
- He pretty much solidified himself as the best corner in the game
- He's a millionaire
- The man is in the superbowl on a team that is young and going to be good for a while.

Anyone who can touch those credentials is qualified to speak negatively on him. Otherwise........... well you know

I do have a kid, and even the best parents can't shield their kids from everything. Kids are impressionable, and to see grown men acting like that gives them the idea that that kind of behavior is acceptable. And who are they gonna believe - uncool Mom & Dad or the cool, rich football player from Stanford who just handed his team a victory in the Super Bowl playoffs?

 

At this point id make the argument that all of the goals in Richard Sherman's contract are performance based and have absolutely nothing to do with being a role model. I don't think anyone can argue that his job is to produce on the field, which he has done and at all high level to boot.

And youre right kids are impressionable. Matter of fact, chances are (although I hope not) that one day at least one of your kids is going to be put in a situation where they are put in the spot by a friend to either use drugs or do something else questionable. So. what so we do at that point? Call their mom and say. "Your kid is a jackass"?

For the record I think Brett favre was one of the most arrogant athletes ever. But hey, he we are talking about Richard Sherman.

 

Then let his accomplishments speak for themselves! But his boasts were less of an issue than him calling out Crabtree. If he had a beef with Crabtree, let him take it up with him off-camera. As for Brett Favre, maybe he was as you say. I didn't follow his career nor do I recall any incidences such as this, so I can't comment to that.

I thought Sherman made himself look classless, and I'm sick of black people giving passes to other black people for their boorish behavior, because it's just the way we are or you shouldn't stifle the spirit of a champion.

Seriously, "genius" and "Kanye" are two words that should never be mixed. I don't see anything genius coming out of that man (the least of which being musical talent).
