I see your point but what we all must remember is that these two are division opponents and this was their third time playing each other this season alone. They legitimately do not like one another. This isn't fake. The media builds up the hype for these so called rivalries and then when A REAL RIVALRY evolves and the guys don't like each other and speak on it, suddenly its a problem. I'm sorry America but that isn't the way it works. Do we expect these guys to try and knock each others heads off for 60 minutes and then have a tea party in the locker room after the game? Lastly, ive seen a lot of people trying to take shots at Richard Sherman since Sunday. Id like to take this opportunity to say back off the man. He's arrogant because he has earned the right - He has a degree from Stanford - He pretty much solidified himself as the best corner in the game - He's a millionaire - The man is in the superbowl on a team that is young and going to be good for a while. Anyone who can touch those credentials is qualified to speak negatively on him. Otherwise........... well you know
To be honest, I don't think he really wanted to apologize and I don't even think it was his idea. The front office more than likely didn't want the negative press.
You think Applebees is "classy" and "thoughtful", I been laughing. Im not surprised, typical white people behavior discrediting a black mans success, talent, and contributions because he refuses to be placed in the "know your place boy" box you want him in. You and the rest of the people remind me of an white coworker of mine whose face would always turn hot red and crumple up like some forgotten homework in the trash bin every time he seen ray Lewis would play "why he got to yell and dance" he'd vent "just play the damn game and be humble". He would use codenames like thug to describe white women with black guys as well. No coiendence everyone at the job unamiously agrees he has sorry pathetic low confidence about himself. To thump, of course he's going to apologize because if he didn't the racists, feminazis, and gay mafia would be protesting in full force for him to lose his endorsement deals just like every other black man who spoke his mind in recent memory.
You misquoted me, dear. I never said Applebee's was classy or thoughtful. That's the conclusion you came to. You've been on the rag for like, 2 weeks now. Maybe a visit to your doctor is in order - a low-dose birth control will shorten it to a week and cut down on the crankiness we're being subjected to.
So those qualifications give you the right to act like a jackass on national TV? Great behavior to model for the kids watching....
I didnt misquote you, thats what you said out your mouth. Anybody can read in between of the lines you wrote in that thread.
Well ches boo I feel what you're saying, but that would be your definition of a jackass. In all fairness I think George bush was a jackass. And I mean wouldn't he be much higher up on the "role model" scale? And for the record I don't have kids, but when I do it'll be my job to be a role model for them. Not Richard Sherman's. If I take care of mine, and everyone else takes care of there's, we'll be fine.
How many young kids aspire to be president vs an athlete or celebrity? I do have a kid, and even the best parents can't shield their kids from everything. Kids are impressionable, and to see grown men acting like that gives them the idea that that kind of behavior is acceptable. And who are they gonna believe - uncool Mom & Dad or the cool, rich football player from Stanford who just handed his team a victory in the Super Bowl playoffs?
At this point id make the argument that all of the goals in Richard Sherman's contract are performance based and have absolutely nothing to do with being a role model. I don't think anyone can argue that his job is to produce on the field, which he has done and at all high level to boot. And youre right kids are impressionable. Matter of fact, chances are (although I hope not) that one day at least one of your kids is going to be put in a situation where they are put in the spot by a friend to either use drugs or do something else questionable. So. what so we do at that point? Call their mom and say. "Your kid is a jackass"? For the record I think Brett favre was one of the most arrogant athletes ever. But hey, he we are talking about Richard Sherman.
Then let his accomplishments speak for themselves! But his boasts were less of an issue than him calling out Crabtree. If he had a beef with Crabtree, let him take it up with him off-camera. And this wasn't a random interview or locker room talk. It was a playoff game with a national audience. I mean, c'mon. Even Erin Andrews looked taken aback. And she's more accustomed to after-game interviews than we are. (Although I would disagree with what's-her-name that she looked petrified. ??) As for Brett Favre, maybe he was as you say. I didn't follow his career nor do I recall any incidences such as this, so I can't comment to that.
To my Son's I will always be the coolest, most badass, best person to ever do it in the whole entire world and not a single motherfucker will or ever take that title away from me. :smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080
I thought Sherman made himself look classless, and I'm sick of black people giving passes to other black people for their boorish behavior, because it's just the way we are or you shouldn't stifle the spirit of a champion. And there are plenty of black shit talkers through sports history (Shannon Sharpe, Muhammad Ali) who delivered their words with intelligence.
Let's keep it a hundred the dude is a musical genius. He's an arrogant prick but he is amazing. Dude has been on top since day one and never left.
Sherman is not close to being a millionaire ( unless he has more endorsment deals that I know of) in 3rd year of his rookie deal as a 5th rd pick car might be making 500k, also Crabtree probably big timed him at Larry fitz golf tourney, they jaw at one another after every snap last 3 yrs, rest assured crab has given him the bizness about being a 5th rd pick all of that and the fact he is very loud aggressive and good, Relax sherm trying to get paid nothing more Go from a 5th rd pick to no doubt the best corner in football ( he has been since 2012 ) in 3 yrs is remarkable
Seriously, "genius" and "Kanye" are two words that should never be mixed. I don't see anything genius coming out of that man (the least of which being musical talent). He nauseates me though, so I'm probably not one to offer an unbiased opinion. If you're a fan of his music then fine, but "genius" he's probably not
I am not a fan of prince in the slightest but I recognize his genius. Kanye is similar to me. He produces writes and rap and he does all so damn well. Say what you want but denying his talent is hater shit kid.
