Wow, just...wow. So fucking nauseating that there are people in this world who follow this line of thinking. These posts are disgusting and you should truly be ashamed of yourself for continually voicing such hate. Sad. Sad. Sad.

FWIW: Maybe it would help (or not) to give one (the primary one) verse from the Bible that much of this controversy swirls around. There are other verses that reference homosexuality in the Bible as well, but this is in the New Testament, spoken by the apostle Paul. As you will see, homosexuality is not singled out - it is listed with other practices that are also considered to be sinful and rebellious behavior towards God.

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10
    New International Version (NIV)

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral (other versions say fornicators) nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
    (italics mine)

Christians believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. So if anyone wants to argue these points, I say take it up with God. Just because you don't believe in him doesn't mean he doesn't exist.... (and to those who don't believe, the rejoinder to that will be "Just because you do believe in him doesn't mean he exists. I get it. You do you and I'll do me. I'd rather believe and be wrong than not believe and be wrong.)

If such a God exists, then God is wrong because the most fundamental flaw in that thinking is that god lacks experience.

Ok, well you can be the one to tell God that.

I would love nothing more than for you to be right love. It'd be easier to accept someone just likes the drama, than it is to accept that they actually have that kind of hate in their heart.

It's very sad to see people so closed minded. To say homosexuality "disgusts" you? That bothers me. Just because its not you're kind of love, it's disgusting? To me, that's sad.

Just because you don't agree with a lifestyle doesn't mean you have to be hateful towards it.

Paniro, I'm honestly curious...WHY do you hate it? No ones asking you to be gay...so how does it even affect you? These are sincere questions. Many cant answer them without throwing the bible at me, but I'm wondering if you can. The bible says its a no no...I get that (thoroughly disagree, but my reading comprehension is on point ;) ), but it certainly doesn't say to "hate". Just trying to understand.

Yeah, all you need to do is look in the mirror and look into the root of that creation.

The thought of gay people clenches his bootyhole very tightly, just like the rest of the social conservative band of misfits. More so, gay males that he thinks want him.

    Agreed.

He sure as shit does. He's said it more than one time around here. Just because he has a penchant for backpedaling like a boss doesn't get him off the hook for coming across as a homophobic twit.

Soooo.... you're ok with having sex with a man? I mean literally. Not the concept of homosexuality, but actually engaging in sex with a man. I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say that it's not just conservative men that would have a problem actually having gay sex. They may not be opposed to other men and women having same sex relationships but they wouldn't want to engage in it themselves.

I'm not sexually, physically, emotionally, nor mentally attracted to men at all, so I wouldn't engage in that.

And there's a distinct difference in my position on why I wouldn't do it and why social conservatives would lambast, berate and even go as far as limiting the rights of the LGBT community as whole, strongly demonizing them and calling them evil, immoral or just plain nasty. When reinforcing that belief with a belief system and a deity riddled with immorality and contradiction, it's completed tainted to where it falls into into the anti-reason territory.

So, I don't know what you're trying to get at it in this post.

Tell me...would you sympathize with a racist who found you engaging in sexual relations with a black man?

And again, it's a sad statement giving that its happening all over and even before you were born. You keep the mindframe on a limited scope.

My point was that people can be disgusted with the thought of gay sex without hating gays. The thought of getting up close and personal with a vagina gives me the heebie jeebies, but that doesn't mean I hate lesbians. I personally don't know any hetero men who are comfortable contemplating sex with a man.

That maybe true. But it does say a lot about your personal comfort zone. It could very well mean that you might feel unsettling with them.

But moreover, that attitude can translate into something even more unsettling, given that you're a voter with a personal view that speaks more on hindering the rights of others and could exercise that right.

As usual, you read more into the post than is there. Why would I be uncomfortable being around gay people? I don't assume that a woman wants me just because she's a lesbian and even if she was and she indicated interest, I would treat her the same way as a man that I'm not interested in - I would gently let her know I'm not interested. By the way, I have a family member who is gay. I don't love her any less than any other family member because of her sexual orientation.

Oh! And I voted for Obama. Both terms. Anything else?
