Ah yes. Weapon X. A concept introduced in the 90's around the same time they started jacking up his healing factor & what it could do because various writers where trying to out do each other coming up with ways to make Wolverine cool & bad ass. Same thing with his alleged memory loss about his past. Until the introduction of the whole Weapon X Program idea, the only memory loss that was actually acknowledged on his part involved exactly how he acquired his adamantium claws & skeleton. All of his other past memories were intact,he just always kept tight lipped about his past otherwise. That was what made him "cool & mysterious" prior to the intro of the Weapon X/memory loss concept that eventually became the canon history.
I had seen Justice League: Doom. It was a pretty interesting film. Grren Lantern Hal Jordan is in it. Tim Daly returns to voice Superman, as does Kevin Conroy. The immortal supervillain Vandal Savage returns(he was in another Justice League film called The Savage Time where he transports Superman, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern John Stewart back to WW2. They meet Sgt. Rock,Steve Trevor and Black Hawk and his squadron. Vandal Savage was voiced by Phil Morris(who played Martian Manhunter in Smallville). I cannot give any more details about it. Check it out.
The Savage Time was a three part episode for Justice League and the end of Season 1. It was a great episode actually. And appreciated how they referenced some of the old school stars here and there.
I saw The Savage Time as a complete movie. Sgt. Rock and Black Hawk's( I used to read Black Hawk) roles in the story were very prominent. Especially when Green Lantern John Stewart, after his power ring lost power, ended up with Sgt. Rock's unit and he had to prove himself to that unit. There was supposed to be a movie about Black Hawk and it was going to be starred and directed by Dan Aykroyd back in the 90's. But, money was too tight to mention and the project was scrapped. Before that, there was an cliffhanger starring Kirk Allyn after he did the two Superman serials for Columbia Pictures. He was offered the television show, but he declined and told them to pay George Reeves what he wanted. And the rest is history. Sgt. Rock is due for a movie, I think.
hmm.. I might see 47 Ronin when it comes to the discount theater outlet. The way it's been performing at the box-office so far, it might not be too long a wait. We'll see.
Keanu really fell off since the matrix films But yeah go see that and since u feel like seeing shit movies, go see after earth too
Um, don't know how to tell you this, but you're a little late on this one. No shit? Really? It's got not only Keanu, but my man Hiroyuki Sanada too. I had no idea the initial performance was that bad. Damn. The trailer makes it look like it's the movie event of the year.
I think it could have been executed better. I don't know if it's the Scientology taint or the movie as film vehicle for his son that causes the movie to suffer more. He was better in The Day The Earth Stood Still or Karate Kid than in After Earth, imho.
There is a rumor that Wonder Woman may get an updated and completly diffrent origin in the Batman Vs. Superman movie. **Spoilers** **Maybe** http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/rumor-hints-new-origin-wonder-woman-amazons-man-steel-2/ The Amazons in the movie might be descendants from the Ancient Kryptonians that were mentioned in Man Of Steel. If true, it will be a radical change from her Greek pantheon origin in the comics. I can totally see them doing this. But it would be a horrible mistake, in my opinion.
On one hand...it makes sense as it'll be simpler and would be a tie-in to the Man of Steel movie. On the other hand...this is a WTF right here and there.
