We all know about Phil Robertson. Now a new offensive statement has landed someone else in hot water. Justine Sacco, formerly a PR executive for the Internet giant InterActive Corp. Tweeted: Some people will argue that what she did is exactly the same as what Phil did. I disagree with that thinking. Unlike Phil, this women was clearly going for a joke at peoples expense, and her employers weren't pressured into firing her. They fired her because she was INTENTIONALLY insensitive and/or hurtful.
she got fired before her plane even landed...her employer swiftly removed her from the corporate contacts list...this is completely different than what happened with Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty...she got exactly what she deserved losing her job and I would venture to say she is going to have a tough time finding another job in PR this was just pure stupidity on her part:smt012
Ironic and hard to believe she is trained in PR. Reflects poorly on wherever she was educated as well, IMO.
