Actors Herve Villchaize(Tatoo on Fantasy Island and Knick Knack on The Man With The Golden Gun), Willie Shoemaker(pro jockey), Artie Johnson, Mel Brooks, Mickey Rooney, Gary Coleman, Dudley Moore, Sherman Hemsley, Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra, Verne Troyer and others were short in stature, but that didn't mean that they weren't tall in their talents(or wallets). Go to the youtube channel mrveesworld and he(a tall black man who is dating a tall beautiful model from Romania)will show you how a short man can succeed with women anywhere.

Big City Girls Aren't Into Short Guys
December 9, 2013 at 9:37AM by Anna Breslaw

Metropolitan women, before we bemoan our lack of dating options, let's remember that it could be worse — we could be short guys. According to a survey by AYI.com, via New York Post, men under 5'9" have a mere 1.2 percent chance of being contacted by a Manhattan or Bronx-dwelling woman on a dating site.

Brooklyn, slightly better, stacks up at 2.4 percent, then Staten Island (4.1 percent), Queens (5.4 percent) and Jersey City (7.6 percent). The reasons behind our preference for tall men is, unsurprisingly, biological, says an anthropologist at Columbia University: "Cross-culturally, women show a preference for taller mates. Most people think it’s related to sexual selection. Taller men are perceived to be healthier, be better providers. By being tall, you are signaling that you have good genes."

it makes sense... a woman who is 5'5" who wears 4" heels would rather have a man taller than her not her same height in heels.

Why does it make sense? How often do women where heels?

    I'd say minimally, 5 days a week for 12-15 hours a day...not including weekends ;)

You have a height complex because you're 4'1 your opinion is biased lol.
Real talk your average woman doesn't wear heels enough for that to be a legitimate excuse. Just be upfront and say you are just physically more attracted to men of a certain height. Personally I think women really limit their happiness by focusing on men who are "tall" but when I see a such a huge number of attractive complaining they can't find a decent guy its really no wonder.

I'm not attracted to men that are shorter than me when sitting down. That's just a mental,"huuuh?" to me, like I can't process it lol.

If we're the same height standing up, that's cool. Heels aren't a factor for me because I'd rather sneakers or flats. The off chance I do wear heels, they're like an inch "high" and doesn't make a difference.

It's more of a build. I don't like looking at pics and feeling all, "hey, I got 20-40 pounds on him". It's a silly thing, but it's how I work.

I am completely biased lol. I love tall men...never been shy about that.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a decent woman who'd turn down a decent man solely because of height though. I agree tall men may be preferred, but many of us have preferences that aren't necessarily deal breakers.

I agree. Often times physical preference is more about general build than height alone. The last guy I dated was only 5'10 but he outweighed me by 80+ pounds :)smt060)...his build, regardless of height, had me hooked from day 1.

I was about to say...i wear heels almost daily. I am a girlie girl tho...i hate wearing flats, but I will rock my Jordans on occasion.

I have a complex w short men...I'll admit it. I don't want to be waaaay taller when I'm in my heels.

Only 5'10? You're tiny enough to fit in a shaving kit woman lol

Most of the women I know where heels to work and socially once a week but the time we spend together rarely involves dress shoes unless its dress up night if you know what I mean lol
