Don't spread misinformation the cop that beat him was an mma fighter when Kimbo was just a basic hug the block streetfighter. He wasn't training yet.
Beasty what's your background, do you train?

A Cop does not fight for a living tho, and and is therefore not world class. I hope you dont claim that the average police station requires their staff to be world class fighters. Hell do they even have fitness standards?

Ok thanks for the info. I am done making my previous points we can agree to disagree. Anyway, I have nothing but respect for someone that would do that world class or not. I dont have any background in martial arts, just a rich background in brawling street style. Not something that I am proud or ashamed of, but I am proud to say violence has not been a part of my life in well over a decade. MMA is the only sport that I try to follow these days. I grew up a Bruce Lee fan and have an interest in learning Krav Maga, and Muay Thai. Kung fu would be awesome but I won't get my hopes up for that. Anyway I think its cool that you guys have had formal training in martial arts.

Dude you should train if you want to. It's the best exercise there is.

damn, you guys are talking about fighting people with bare hands, when erbody knows, if the fight isn't going his way, he has the tacit right to kill you

Anyway, I have a lot more to say about this topic, but no time to post, so forgive me when I resurrect it

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I just want to make these few final points.

    1. Martial arts? Really? no bully is going to attack you unarmed one-on-one, unless maybe you're his girlfriend or something. Other than that, martial arts isn't going to save you. Martial arts skill is for when you're unarmed and in a cage for the armed bloodletting you've done on the outside

This dude should've been armed with something and ready for these guys, after bringing the issue to the authorities first, of course

    2. Where were this guy's people? Is it me, or are we seeing that increasingly black men have very few people, maybe their immediate family, if that.

A big social/family network means moral support, good advice, business and employment connections, etc. etc. If these "skinheads" had just spotted the kid hanging with 5 or 6 other black men, I bet their antics would've ebbed a bit.

I think black men increasingly have very few people. it's part of the increasing marginalization.

I could be wrong, but I'm a people watcher and this is something I sense. It would be interesting hearing others' thoughts on this
