Anyone doing anything scary, playing any tricks on the kids, frightened females, or unsuspecting dudes?

I usually help my neighbor with a front door scare tactic. This year we devise a false roof with trap doors on his porch. When families walk up, blood will drip, the doors will fly open and out with the scare from an unsuspected position. We've tested it out as usual, made minor adjustments, and everything is safe.

A few things about last night's elections:

New Jersey: Potential 2016 Candidate for President
Congrats to Gov. Christie on his victory. But, make no mistake, just because he's a straight-talking, pragmatic governor in a blue state, that doesn't [always] translate to being an effective leader in national politics. He's still a staunchly conservative politician, despite his moderate record as Governor. I commend him for his willingness to work with both political parties, so perhaps we'll see how much will change in the months ahead.

Virginia: Red State Slowly Turning Purple
I'm glad to see that Mcaulife won the governorship, but I strongly feel that his win was directly tied to the Libertarian candidate, thus took votes away from the Republican rival. Otherwise, the race will be much closer than what's displayed now, with a possible Cuccinelli governorship. Regardless, Virginia has shown to be more purple and slowly more progressive, which is a welcoming change in the dynamic environment in the name of progressive causes.

New York City: A Period of Progress After Two Decades of Moderate Conservatism
Walter de Blasio becomes the first democratic mayor in two decades, after it's been under Republican rule (albeit RINO) and it will be interesting to see how this will all play out. His predecessors managed to make NYC much safer as a whole, despite some controversial policies that have rendered people cautious over the idea that crime will surge again under this Mayoral Administration.

Furthermore, he's also a unique face in the community, given his family serves as a reflection of a changing America. I have hopes for this guy and his vision, but I tend to be weary since he has to deal with people who will more than likely keep him from doing the things he wants to do, such as doing a tax hike on the wealthy. This will make or break him as a progressive person.

Alabama: Establishment vs. Tea Party GOP -- Fracturing continues
The TEA Party has seemingly been losing ground as of late, especially since they've lost some battles, most recently, being beaten down by an Establishment Republican, thus the divide further continues. I can't say much more than this.

    Colorado: Secession Fails, Cannabis Wins
The secession failed to gain traction, especially since the voices for that referendum come from small conservative counties in the big Weed state. With the advent of a growing, more open-minded Colorado, many conservative areas seemingly want to have a bigger voice than they already have. It's a state with some flexible numbers here and there, so while it may seem to be leaning towards blue, it's still heavily purple given that the majority of people whole somewhat libertarian ideas.

As for tax hike on weed, it was expected and promising. The issue here is whether the tax hike can really make the state a perfect example for responsible cannabis growth and such. I believe it to be so, but we'll see in the next two years. We'll definitely see huge growth in economic progress, but aside from that, it'll be too early to determine whether the state can make the federal law on it disband altogether.

the weed tax will bring in an additional 60 million dollars to the state in 2014...Colorado is quickly becoming known as the most liberal state along side Washington...unfortunately prop 66 did not pass...a tax hike to fund new educational programs directly...the state however is back to the drawing board and more than likely a nice slice of the weed tax will go to education...instead of the mile high city...just call us the high city:weedman:
