We all have challenges to overcome. Our modern society has all the tools and technology to make our lives very simple and easier; yet, greed and pride has us chasing after material accolades, titles, status, etcetera, which destroys our priority and focus. At the end of lives, our accomplishments, accolades, titles, status, and wealth will not matter. I know and have known many who have perished in combat or living with severe wounds and injuries from combat. Everyone of those men and women who are suffering and have suffered from combat will tell you accolades, titles, status, accomplishments do not matter. Relationships, family, unconditional love, humility, benevolence, good health, etcetera matter above all. Maria Kang is taking care of her body, for herself and her family, while attempting to motivate others to do the same. It appears Ms. Kang is being criticized for having her priorities in order, while her critics are making excuses. In my humble opinion, those critical of Ms. Kang have the right to be critical of Ms. Kang; yet, when cardiovascular, endocrine (diabetes and hypothyroidism), renal, and myriad of other health issues and problems occur, who will they blame because of lack of exercise and living a healthy lifestyle? Cancer, diabetes, heart attacks, and herniated discs do not care about a excuses or legitimate reasons!!!

I read about this yesterday. Thankfully the majority of comments I read were all in support of Ms. Kang. The hate that she's received over this photo is absurd though. If people want to make excuses for their obesity, that's on them...but to have the nerve to lash out at those who make the effort to take care of themselves, that irks me. Maria Kang is absolutely gorgeous, and she works hard for the body she has. People are so quick to hate, when at the end of the day they're just jealous that they don't have 1/2 the discipline Ms. Kang has shown. Three kids in three years...she deserves much respect for her commitment to physical fitness and nutrition.

Thank you for your comment RaiderLL.
I do not want to harshly attack the critics of Ms. Kang, because I am not familiar with her critics personal challenges and situations. With humility and respect to the critics of Ms. Kang, I do find it strange that the critics of Ms. Kang have time to criticize Ms. Kang; yet, cannot find time to exercise.

I am very concerned about the negative health, social, and emotional consequences. If many people who are critical of Ms. Kang are in fact lazy, we are going to have a myriad of issues, in all areas of life, because if a human being is lazy in one of life, that same human will eventually become lazy in many areas of life. Gluttony means one cannot control his or her urges and desires.

    Bravo to Ms. Kang!

There really are no excuses. Either get motivated and do it or except it. People hating on her are just mad at themselves for letting their bodies go.

Life is all about choices, I'm sure you know that just as well as I do. People choose to sit behind their computer screens and pass judgment on others because it's easy and anonymous. There's absolutely no accountability for their words when the opinions are spoken online. Instead of going for a run, or partaking in some form of physical activity, they judge the people they envy. It's nauseating.

I think this is a young woman who's made it crystal clear that her body isn't "perfect". She is healthy and fit though, and setting such an important example for her children. For that alone, she deserves respect. The quote "What's your excuse" is what many people have expressed dislike for, but that's most likely because it's calling them on their bullshit excuses. I've seen that same quote on a pic of a double amputee who lost like 100 pounds. He received nothing but praise, yet you put an attractive female in the pic with that quote and the commentators come out in full force to try and bring her down. It's ridiculous IMO.

Are we becoming a politically correct society, at the expense of other important issues?

I applaud anyone who makes strides toward achieving their goals, whether in their fitness, knowledge, education, profession or happiness. More power to her.

The haters are jealous. It's the only way to explain that. Bravo, Maria!
