Metrosexual? A Bad Thing or Good Thing?

This puts me in mind of that song "Signs" by The Five Man Electrical Band. Do we really need a sign or tag for e-v-e-r-y thing? After all, I suppose we all fit into some category or another, except for those who consider themselves to be a bit of this and that. Oh, but that would be eclectic. I suppose we do need the tags to keep it all sorted, eh?

On the other hand, perhaps the creator of the metrosexual term needed/wanted to differentiate between eccentric male, and homosexual male?

"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign, Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind...can't you read the sign"

    A. I remember this song (from when it came out)
    B. I l still love this song and it's message, if it comes on the oldies station I practically have to stop the car to sing/role play
    C. I'm happy someone else remembers it

Being a metrosexual is neither good or bad. But it is competitive among other metrosexuals. If there is a negative, it might be that they want to be the center of attention. They are up on the latest trends with men's fashion, cologne, skincare and other grooming products and trends. Physical appearance and fitness. Then there is the food and wine. Keeping up on current cultural events and other things important to them. Like every lifestyle, it is an individual lifestyle and not for everyone.

    Songs from back when

Haven't seen you around much. Hope your holiday(s) are pleasant and memorable (in the very best possible way). Re the song, that one, and perhaps others a bit older do date us sometimes. Ah, but what a fabulous time it was. ;-)

I think for a dude, the key to looking good is to make it look easy. If you look like you're trying too hard, you've failed

Kinda like if you have a nice build women like it, but if you wear "muscle shirts", they're turned off

Yup! If you're 6'1 225 and you squeeze yourself into the same size shirt as me...not really attractive IMO. I love a nice build, but I also like a man to wear clothes that don't look like they're painted on him.

As for the topic in general...I honestly don't think it's "good" or "bad". It's just a style to me, and if it's something he enjoys then great. I don't typically go for the pretty boys, and this is something I find more often with them, so I haven't had to deal with it lol. Whatever makes em happy though :)
