I would have, but I was afraid to make it. It wouldn't bode well for myself on here if I made it. Didn't want to look like I was bashing all BM.

 

My goodness, I don't recall a time in recent U.S. history, that we have had such a continuum of mass shootings.......

As a true senior member here since 2003, you have to know the protocol by now......there is a reason why this thread is not getting any traction....Unless you want to be blacklisted as an obstructionist going against the grain, there is certain subject matter that is best left alone......I had a rough time in wwbm school, but I finally graduated.....Along the way, I saw other pupils who had to re-take classes like me,...one even expelled after several probations.........In the end, I learned, If you want to be a member of the family, you cannot be a hellion……..To prove a point, It is not worth alienating your self as an outcast……Understandings have been in place long before we got here…..If the ruling majority mandates that you leave it alone.......Save your self the grief by staying in good favor with the crowd ....leave it alone..........

 

Sad thing is this happens more often and slowly starts to lose its impact on a lot of people.

 

Who said they couldn't but what this proves is there needs to be a heavier investment in mental health because he was military. So disarming the people would have done nothing to prevent this.

 

That's what I was thinking. Gang violence use to make headlines back in the 90s now that shit is business as usual. Everyone is so unattached these days.

 

I saw it but didn't post. I thought that it may offend the military folks. I didn't think about the racial issues. I mean the guy has petty officer in the article. any how terrible event.

Alexis taught him about American culture, Suthamtewakul told CNN. Alexis, he says, was fluent in Thai and attended a Buddhist temple.

When Suthamtewakul opened the Happy Bowl Thai Restaurant, Alexis would occasionally help out, waiting tables, he said.

The two were roommates until five months ago, when Suthamtewakul got married and Alexis had to move out.

On Monday, Suthamtewakul was stunned by the news that Alexis was said to be the shooter in the rampage at the Navy Yard.

Frustrations
But there were signs that Alexis was unhappy.
He was having a hard time trying to get on his feet, said Suthamtewakul's wife, Kristi. He helped out at the restaurant but not for pay.

'He was using this as an educational experience to help learn Thai,' she said. He enjoyed making deliveries to homes, where the language was spoken. He talked about moving to Thailand.

But to Suthamtewakul, Alexis seemed 'frustrated with life.'"

His quote suggests that the "race pimps" here dispute the fact that black men can be murderers, blah blah blah. That's what the duck I'm talking about, paniro.

the shock value has worn off on these types of crimes because they happen far too often...to be honest I heard the story but where I am from news coverage is all about rescue/recovery after all the flooding...this shooting barely got a blip

 

I hope people begin to look for early warning signs and take mental illness seriously and focus on treatment. This was a terrible tragedy.
