good to hear and i agree with you on tipping the scale if a man takes longer to get ready than a female.

i stay fresh yes and typically it only takes 20-30 minutes to get ready for work or an outing.

Don't know if it is good or bad since it steers towards a difference in sexual orientation. A man should take care of his body since a woman would not go out with a man who for example worked out in a gym and did not shower just putting on threads.

A metrosexual is anyone who takes a great deal of care in their appearance. They are up on the latest fashions and grooming products and practices. It seems narcissistic, but to these individuals it means a lot to them. The become mysterious and that is the allure. All eyes are on them, wondering what would they be wearing today or tonight. If the metrosexual can get that much attention and admiration, it becomes addictive and competitive. And it is also very expensive. But that is the price these individuals are willing to pay. Having said that, I will say this; looking good is not a crime.

I would say that in Britain "metrosexuality" has existed for 100s of years in some form or another. There is a very long history of British men being very open and willing to adopt the fashion of the moment. All the way from the ancient royal courts down to the present day working man.

Here the concept of men taking pride in their appearance was and still is a very masculine trait just as much as being rough and ready.

For example the image of the traditional British farmer is one that associated with very hard work but still look damn good doing it. In fact the farmer/countryside look is quite popular over here.

The modern metrosexuality is not a modern idea at all except for now that type of man is perhaps seen as being more feminine emotionally and psychologically .

When retarded people decide to coin words like metrosexual this is what happens. The fact that a man likes to be well groomed and has a very high interest in fashion with regards to latest trends in men's clothing does not mean he is gay. Unforunately a lot of seemingly intelligent women have fallen for this crap.

According to your well defined explanation, Bugleroller and Cherok would most closely epitomize metrosexual individuals on this forum. .......no one set the pace of fashion like these two. ....

    Only to dusty nuckas

I like how they use the word much... I wouldn't say much as most of the men I know pay attention to how they look and don't walk out the house looking dusty.

It beats me how some people have issues with men who take time to groom themselves. If a dude spends more time in the bathroom or in the mirror than his girlfriend( and i am assuming his girlfriend spends more than 5minutes in the bathroom) then there is a problem, otherwise i dont see the big deal in spending time to look good as a man.

One of my (male) roommates took forever in the bathroom. Another roommate would keep telling me how "gay" it was... that became so annoying. It's not gay to want to look good though. If any of the female roommates had to use the bathroom, they'd come to me to go in and tell him that he needed to hurry up.

The only real problem to me there, was the fact that there was 6 people, and one tiny bathroom. :p

Being a metrosexual is a lot of work. It is about keeping up with the latest trends in men's fashion, colognes, skin care and other grooming products. The purpose is to look perfect. Or more so than the other man in his lifestyle. It is, for the individual, a good thing because he is taking care of himself. It is single-minded and it is shallow. It's quite a dichotomy that is going on for those in that lifestyle.

    Bad.

Don't think that a tight pair of Calvin Kleins is going to do the trick that genetics did not.

You were either born pretty or you weren't. If not, then find some other way to be attractive. Ruggedly handsome, athletic, a teddy bear . . . pick something and be secure in it.

Years ago before the metrosexual fade came in, I saw a show where a board was place at the neck of a man. The host would ask the man what he was wearing. Majority of the men could not tell. That was all I needed to remember to know that metro-sexual was a fade.

Metrosexual is the word dusty cuts used when they hate. They don't like to see nuckas dipped in butter
