I am very picky about the porn I watch. I try to steer clear of teens. I am not into bukkake, creampies or gangbangs. I would say amateur, I like MILF, mature, Asian, Latina, Euro, massage, lesbian(mature/MILF)and interracial. I am surprised that interracial is not in this list. Oh, well.

That list is not accurate when it comes to viewing and length of time.

Utah ranks #1 in porn viewing. It has gotten so bad that the Mormon Church has a extensive PSA campaign in Utah trying to help Mormons to stop watching porn.

They are spending millions lobbying Congress and State Legislatures to write laws to control and try to ban Internet porn.

If you remember, Romney spoke in one of his campaign speeches about Internet porn.

It's funny that this topic has come up because I've been reading a lot recently about the negative effects of porn and masturbation on the human brain. I watched this video on the same subject

I've also been reading the subreddit - NoFap.

NoFap is a movement to abstain from porn and masturbation. The theory is, porn gives you an obscure view of women and sex. Masturbation is intrinsically linked to porn and further fuels any twisted notions of sex that you have.
So instead of fapping (masturbating) you should abstain and develop the willpower and mental skills to go out and meet really women. The goal is to stop using porn and masturbation as a crutch, and instead become more social and active - get back your life!

Its an interesting topic and its made me look at my own consumption of porn and how much time I waste searching the internet for videos. The subreddit - NoFap - has lots of personal stories of people who have gone 30days, 90days or even a year without porn and masturbation; its made a dramatic change to their lives. They develop willpower and happiness, and can focus on the things that really matter in life.

There are different extremes of people who join NoFap. There are people who clearly have an addiction to porn and masturbation, and others who just want to change because they find porn makes them feel dirty.

Have you ever been a teen? Shit if this shit was available when I was a teenager I would have been watching non stop porn with girls who looked like girls from the schools around me.
I don't doubt for a moment most of those searches are teen boys who have far more time on their hands than adults and also who have a shit ton of ways to search via laptops and smartphones

 

I greatly disagree if anything I feel like porn saves relationships. It helps to satisfy that part of the male brain that requires multiple partners for procreation not to mention it staves off boredom. It also eliminates hours one would waste pursuing girls so they can focus on endeavors like school and work that will make women pursue them. It mellows you out and while I do agree it may give you unrealistic expectations of the women you can get it may also cause one to work on themselves to the point where they can get the kind of women they desire.

 

That's a pretty decent counter argument. Thanks for adding your opinion. I'm still just reading into all the theories and arguments for and against - not fully made up my mind if I'm being honest.
