    :smt005 At these 3 GIFS! ^ ^ ^

But it's true. When I'm in a 'white' Church, I can barely breathe loud, but when I've gone to a black churrrch, I'm most always tearing up, heart bursting inside, so emotionally different! :smt001

I guess you may feel entertained...

But for me, it's the delivered message often resonated much more deeply for me. The anecdotes, the passion, that is why I often tear up. Soul-stirring is the word I use. :smt001

The difference between Black and White churches is that if you went to 11 o'clock service last Sunday at a Black church...you're probably just getting out right now.

In general, this is true. I was raised in a mostly Catholic environment; yet, I have experienced black churches.
I never felt comfortable at any black church, as I am not into praise and worship. I understand the reason for a lot more music and spiritual/emotional display in a black church is cultural in nature. Because slaves could not read the bible, white pastors and clergy emphasized the Holy Spirit aka "The Holy Ghost". Slaves were taught and encouraged to receive the "The Holy Ghost", in order to have a closer relationship with God. Tradition is difficult to overcome, especially in religion, which explains the emphasis on praise and worship in a black church. My wife is a blackwoman in a chicana/mexican body, which means she prefers black churches praise and worship, although she was raised Catholic. Frequently, we attend a church which is Southern Baptist, with caucasian senior citizens who treat us like their own children. Because the congregation has so many former pastors and seminary teacher, one would think the congregation would have a deeper knowledge of the bible; however, this not the case.
Our main 'denomination' is more Messianic Jewish, which means our praise and worship is Jewish/Hebrew and biblical our foundation is Hebrew/Aramaic(Torah/Tanakh/Old Testament), Talmud, Mishnah, and Hebrew/Greek(Brit Chadasha/New Testament), Hermanuetics, and Didache. There are not any non-caucasian people in our synagogue, except for me and my wife.

You have a right to your opinion; yet, the bible clearly states YESHUA BEN YOSEF taught, preached, and debated in synagogues. Those synagogues had a lot of people. Scripture clearly states YESHUA HA MESHIACH preached to the wealthy, poor, prostitutes, criminal, healthy, and sick.

I have no idea when the Messiah will return or how he will return, because the issue is a confrontational issue. I do not wish to debate this issue.

Actually, the term "Christian" was a very derogatory and deadly term for someone who followed YESHUA/YESHUA BEN YOSEF/YESHU HA NOTZRI/EJESUS CHRISTO/JESUS OF NAZARETH, in the first century B.C.E.

YESHU HA NOTZRI preached, taught, and debated rabbis in the synagogue, on friday dusk and Saturday morning, which is the true Shabbat(Sabbath) There were no Sunday worship, until the Catholic church changed worship to Sunday, in order to bring pagans to church, because the church wanted to truly convert pagans, and it was financially prudent. Sunday worship comes from pagan worship of the sun goddess. YESHUA celebrated Chanukah and Passover, while never celebrating Easter and Christmas, because those two days were pagan holidays. In fact, YESHU HA NOTZRI was arrested on Wednesday and crucified and buried on Thursday and rose on Saturday night Pesach(Passover), because Jews did not have worship service on Sunday morning, which is the first day of the week. How in the world can you bury someone on friday and have him or her rise on Sunday, and called this buried for three days and three nights, when YESHUA stated he must be like Yona (Jonah) in the belly of the whale? Those last statement are for followers of YESHUA. For non-believers, atheist, agnostics, muslims, and traditional Jews, please disregard.

These are just food for thought! I am the greatest sinner of all; therefore, I cannot judge anyone, nor do I possess the desire to judge anyone. My desire is to love and serve humanity to the best of YHVH(YAWEH/JEHOVAH) in me.

With all humility and due respect, why do you need His Excellency to declare YESHUA resembled the above photo? While it is true YESHUA was not white, it is also true he was not some handsome figure, such as the image in the photo provided. Race and religion are not big issues in most countries, yet, poverty, famine, ETHNIC genocide, female castration, juvenile illness, and so many other devastating tragedies consume the Pope's energy. By the way, I am no longer Catholic.

It has been my experience that I have permitted my parents, relatives, and others dictate to my what type of human being I am and how I should identify myself. When I ceased attaching to and defining myself by human and societal standards, with respect to race, gender, RELIGION, and status, while studying, researching, and applying my faith, then racial, financial, gender, common religion, and status lost their significance. Society, rabbis, popes, and pastors are going to dictate how I should conduct my life, without firm scriptural and historical references.

"Black pastor wants ‘only white people’ as greeters for Sunday services"

Firstly, I totally disagree in the way it was interpreted. I feel like she wanted full representation in that with so many other representatives walking in, that others know it is a multi-nation church by showing another 'face' so to speak. I don't think she was attempting to infer that "White" is the best, that's ridiculous, IMO.

Secondly, I think that congregant Carla, rather than run to the media, should have asked her Pastor to clarify her comments.

As shown, there was a swift apology issued for any misunderstanding, but the congregant ignored that.

Black churches are where sistas and gay choir boys go to lick their lips over the pastor.

    Funny stuff :smt081

I only visit predominantly black churches in the summertime. During the fall, I like to be out in time for NFL football so its back to predominantly white churches for my family. At kickoff time for the afternoon games the black preachers are still just getting warmed up.

A wise man once said "White churches try to fuck your son, Black churches try to fuck your wife but the Catholics will fuck them both"
