why does every white person or non blacks "wild and crazy" phase involve associating themselves with black people, particularly "ghetto" black people?

why couldn't it be wild and crazy white trash?

The reason its racial in this case is because until 8 months ago miley cyrus had NEVER allowed herself or her people ever allowed her to be associated with blacks in general much less black ghetto culture before.. Mind you this is her THIRD album as miley cyrus post hannah montana..and the first two albums were:

    in 2007

    and

    in 2010

both were attempts to break away from the hannah montana perception hence the titles. But neither was really able to do that..and in both those albums she NEVER displayed ANY fascination with rap or hip hop or ghetto culture or ANYTHING to do with black people AT ALL..

before this is the kind of people she associated her self with

then a couple years later she hanging out with people like this...

those are two wholly separate circles..how the hell did she make that jump?

Miley has been looking to solve her hannah montana image problem and her solution was...if you want to kill mickey mouse for good then drag him to a black strip club in the hood and twerk him to death..

    look at this picture..

thats a MOUSE doing her retarded tongue pose.. then she stripped him off and started grabbing her crotch and slapping ass.. its so fake and calculated its not even funny or creative.

I really get the feeling that the last year miley's been ordering up black people like take out pizza.

"yeah, get me the biggest blackest woman you can find...yeah..she's got to have a big butt thats important..no a big butt...a really huge ass.. oh yeah and get me in a room with a photographer and the most thuggish looking rappers out today..NOT MGK and yella wolf I mean BLACK RAPPERS geezus do I have to spell it out for you?? Lot of tats and rings and shit...yeah.. oh and get me some glossy cheap jewelry..bling, really shiny they like it really shiny...oh and go to the other side of town and get the most wretched- I mean RATCHET..geez do they know what that word means?..the most ratchet, I guess, looking black teenage girl you can find...put her on the payroll I need to learn all the new slang theyre talking...don't forget a black bitch with the biggest ass you can find..I know its short notice JUST DO IT!"

    some time later...

Thats why people are saying its a racial issue...

    LOL...

    Article:
"While Miley Cyrus' raunchy MTV VMAs performance wasn't a hit with most viewers...it did draw a TON of attention.

    So, mission accomplished,right?

Most viewers were pretty shocked by the whole display, but it generated tons of buzz as East Coasters took to Twitter to talk endlessly about it before West Coast even laid eyes on it.

In fact, East Coast Twitter traffic for the 2013 Video Music Awards reached a peak level of 306,100 tweets per minute, NBCNews.com reports.

    Not small potatoes, folks.

In fact, according to NBC News, Miley "holds the title of most tweeted-about VMA performance, receiving 4.5 million mentions in tweets sent out during the 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET airing."

Miley took to Twitter to brag about the achievement, writing, "Smilers! My VMA performance had 306,000 tweets per minute. That's more than the blackout or Superbowl! #fact"

She also tweeted a review from Rolling Stone, writing: "'Miley was the one star in the room who truly understood what the MTV Video Music Awards are all about! Miley stole the night, which is why the nation is still in recovery today. Thanks, Miley...' - Rolling Stone"

“Miley is turnt! My ni _ _a.”

    nice analysis, hellified. good reading.

but regarding the "race" stuff, I think this just falls in more as stupidity than racial issues. She ain't hurting anyone but miley

You could say she's hawking stereotypes, but then so are all her buds there, including the big black blonde who's ass she looks like she's about to crawl up

I'd be more worried about the upcoming michael dunn "not guilty", or where the "new normal" economy is leaving black folks, sstuff like that

It was creepy. It reminded me of Gwen Stefani with her Harajuku Girls a few years ago. Fetishising people is not only fucked up and dehumanising, but when those people are a minority it is extremely racist.

The black women in the video were mere props for Miley, delegated to the background. They are not her equals, they weren't even in a supporting role - they were 'the help'. Don't even get me started on the hypersexualisation of black women's bodies.

The thing is, Miley can play 'dress up' and have fun with this twerking thing and it's fine for her; she can go back to being a privileged, girl-next-door white woman whenever she wants. If a black artist acts like her they don't get that chance. They are demonised and castigated.

Miley, and other white acts who borrow from other cultures, will more than likely outsell their minority counterparts. They bring it to mainstream, middle America for profit. It wasn't paying homage, it was a creepy minstrel show.

For Miley this is just some phase, she will be back to sweet, innocent country singing girl in 3,2,1. Hell, she hadn't even HEARD of Jay-Z a couple of years ago. And in an interview she said she wanted this album to sound 'black'.

In her new song she talks about 'that life'. WHAT LIFE, MILEY? Growing up as a white Disney princess? Growing up as the daughter of a country singer? Oh please. It's fucking cringey and pathetic.

It is straight up cultural appropriation.

This might not be a problem if racism wasn't alive and well but it is. It's still here. Hell, Trayvon Martin's murderer walked free earlier this year. I don't need to quote statistics to people.

It's sad that some white women here can't see that. Open your eyes. Try to see the world from another point of view.

Interesting how more Americans are upset and angry over Miley than the possibility of young American troops getting killed in a possible engagement in Syria.......

I know right? For some reason this is more important than National Security issues. Maybe if the troops were twerking white girls in uniform, there would be an outrage.

You know you have problems when you can get Rihanna to look disgusted. Seriously is the girl on crack?

As for the race issue, well large sections of both Black and White pop culture are in a race to the bottom of the barrel. Sometimes they run that race with each other rather than against each other as Miley showed with that car crash performance.

Could always have Miley twerk it in Syria in the middle of war torn neighborhoods.

But America would still be pissed that she was twerking. Not that Syria is a mess and America is going to go in and "clean" it up.
At least we didn't create the mess outright.
I'm sure how in some way we are responsible for it, though.
It's what we do as a country.

From Wikipedia: This phrase originates from Rome in Satire X of the Roman satirist and poet Juvenal (circa 100 A.D.). But I like Mr Numbers' answer better.

Ah, the eminent statesman Saigon. The Roman poet Juvenal told him, lol. This is a cool clip, though. I didn't know he had cerebral lyrics. I'll have to check out his work.
