I forgot how deep and real rap lyrics were. I hope this can change some misconceptions on how intimate the genre can be. http://youtu.be/E1p0sA8bgGA
At first I was :smt043 then I read the top comment... "People don't realize those kids listen to the actual song to begin with. I know 9 and 10 year olds who know this song and I doubt anyone younger than 8 would really even know what he's saying." And I was Props to the singer, though. Thought-provoking. Although one thing you don't realize Stumper @ your comment, is that THAT song is NOT deep or REAL RAP to begin with. A lot of Rap has been hijacked by fraudsters who just dress and play the part, and their sucker listeners lap it up, then think they "know rap" SMH.
This song was fun because it took you on a dance trip.....On the dance floor, you were too busy staying in step to study the lyrics.....Another one of the great last danceable rap groups was Naughty by Nature.....their stuff moved your bones.........”Guard your grill”, “OPP”.....I miss my boy Tretch....Props also to Dr. Drae and Tupac in "California Love" with some good Boze speakers.....
LOL and/or SMH @ sarcastic threads. While I think North leads, Iggy-Stump is a close second. Saty still reigns supreme, though.
Come-on...do you really think Stumper is Iggy ?.....they have 2 different writing styles. ...Stumper appears to be a more polished erudite writer....besides, the mods and Webster having access to IP addresses would have definitively exposed him by now. ...that guy is not Iggy. .
LOL, at first I did not think so either, I even said the same thing - that this guy is a tad more cerebral in his verbiage and has some semblance of debating skills that Iggy never had, however this dry sarcasm thread is classic Iggy (albeit, without the Iggy style insults.) Perhaps it's his cousin.
