Ladies...What Is Your Definition Of A Work Place Office Dress Code?

At the main office of my job. The dress code is business casual.

The men usually wear slacks, jeans, collared shirts or plain T's.

The women usually wear jeans, slacks, blouses, skirts, dress', etc.

We got this one female worker that works the front desk. She is in her mid to late 40's, attractive, and full figured.

Every top she wears highlights her big boobs. I'am a expert on boobs and I would say she is packing a good pair of natural DD's.

The way her desk is situated, when you are standing in front, you cant help but get a birds eye view of cleavage.

Every top she wears are either V-Neck, low crop or she might have a extra button or 2 undone on a buttoned shirt.

Majority of people in the office are females, the few men in there are not what you would call your "manly" men.

The high exes are pretty much men. Lots of customers when visiting have to go past her desk to come in.

She is real popular with all the men who work in the field and come thru the office whenever they are there.....because of obvious reasons.

In my opinion, her style of dress is not professional....not that I'm complaining....it just seems like a perfect storm for a sexual harrasement case if the wrong guy makes the wrong comment at the wrong time.

Below are some examples of tops she wears, not always to the extreme as the models, but you get the point.

    So the question is......

What Do You Ladies Consider Appropiate Office Wear Without Looking Like You Are Wearing A Potato Sack And Not Look Unfeminine?

Unprofessional. I wear a cami under all my tops. A glimpse of cleavage now and then isn't so bad, but the girls need to be covered up in the workplace. You can show off your figure with clothes that fit well and are tasteful.

she would either be sent home or asked to put on a sweater to cover up...I work in a very strict dress code environment...that would not fly at all....no cleavage...skirts no shorter than 3 inches above the knee and you better be wearing the right color...LOL

Totally unprofessional, and IMO skanky as hell for the workplace. Unless she's a stripper or works at a place like Hooter's she shouldn't be coming to work showing all her business.

At my old job there were several things I didn't allow my employees to wear:

    -low-cut tops
    -sleeveless shirts
    -mid drift baring tops
-dresses or skirts (safety hazard for certain job duties)
-sweats, wind pants, yoga pants, shorts
    -open-toed shoes (safety hazard)
-offensive words or pictures on t-shirts
-clothes that are way too big or small
-certain piercings had to be removed
-offensive tattoos had to be covered up

I agree with the other ladies who've responded. It's unprofessional, and I'd make her cover up. I wear a cami every.single.day to work. You may see a little cleavage out of me, but nothing too dramatic.

As for your question, "What Do You Ladies Consider Appropriate Office Wear Without Looking Like You Are Wearing A Potato Sack And Not Look Unfeminine?"...

I think you have to know your body. I have to be careful with v-neck tops because of my chest, I have to wear pants every day because of my tattoos, so I tend to wear skinny jeans (not denim, more like skinny slacks) with flowy tops and high heels. I look feminine, professionally casual, and not like a frumpy potato sack lol

Absolutely no jeans allowed. Its slacks and non revealing tops, or pant-or skirt-suits. I tend to do dresses as I am tired of suits. No low cut and preferably ending at the knee or slightly above.

LOL. Nah, they didn't care all that much; their biggest complaints were not being allowed to wear their pants sagging to their knees and having to remove their facial piercings. I only did what I had to do to keep my clerks from looking like skanks and lot lizards...some of them tried to dress like the place was called 'Sluts R Us'. Dressing like that and dealing with horny truckers and oilfield hands wasn't a good combination.

At the two jobs I have now I wear uniforms...scrubs at one and polo shirts & slacks at the other.

At my old job I typically wore slacks and dressy tops with camisoles underneath. When I had to work the register or the deli, I'd usually wear a polo & jeans like my crew. I adhered to the dress code just like I expected my employees to.

I guess its different for every workplace. If you worked at hooters and wore a business suit to work, you would get your ass kicked:cool:

Deliberately showing cleavage in a blouse or shirt that comes down in front 2-4 inches that shows the full split between a woman's breasts is very unprofessional in nearly all settings.

It's okay if a woman shows a hint of cleavage at the top opening of her blouse, but if a female is well endowed she should cover it up.

Boobies are a powerful erotic stimulant and no professional woman should want men purposefully thinking about them as sex objects on the job.

No matter what a woman wears you still see her 'shape' with is enough of a turn-on as it is, there's no reason to push those buttons further at work by letting the girls flop out.

Time and a place for everything.

What drives me crazy are females who show up to work wearing flip flops.

They know their are foot fiends out there and they enjoy torturing the hell out of us.

Yes! I wear heels every single day to work. It's actually funny when I see co-workers on the weekends, running errands in flip flops, one of the first things they all comment on is my height. No one realizes how short I am because I'm about 5'7 every day at work ;)

At my last job my Manager would say there is a NO CRACK rule...

    No butt crack.

    No breasticles crack.

No belly button crack (what ever that means because mine is a hole.:smt081)

Now that I am a regional manager I expect them to know what is acceptable. I have had no issues with dress code.... maybe just an un ironed shirt but that's all.

I would never wear a revealing top like the ones depicted in the office, I save those tops for date nights...
